Today, we join the World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners around the globe in recognizing #WorldHepatitisDay.

Globally, there are over 200 million undiagnosed and untreated individuals living with hepatitis. Despite advancements in treatment, deaths from the virus are increasing: in 2022, 3,500 people a day – 1.3 million a year – died of hepatitis-related causes.

The WHO has set a goal to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030 through developing more advanced testing, expanding access to diagnostic tools, and encouraging the use of vaccinations.
