??Question:

A female questioner says:

Is it possible for a man to take a woman as a close friend to him, and for a woman to take a man as a close friend?

??Answer:
A companion of a man and his best-friend is his wife, and a companion of a woman and her best friend is her husband.

As for other than that of foreign relationships, then they are from the traps of Shaytan.

Do not fast these days, the days of At-Tashreeq

عن حمزة بن عمرو الأسلمي وبديل بن ورقاء أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: لا تصوموا هذه الأيامَ أيامَ التشريقِ، فإنها أيامُ أَكْلٍ وشُرْبٍ. وصححه الألباني في صحيح الجامع (٧٣٥٥).

Hamza Ibnu Amrin Al-Aslami and Badil Ibnu Warqaa- رضي الله عنهما narrated : that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Do not fast these days, the days of At-Tashreeq, for they are days of eating and drinking. Al-Albani declared it authenticate in Saheeh Al-Jami’ ( 7355 ).

Virtues of Sha'bān

Quick Glance:

The reason it's called Sha'bān

Virtue 1
Allaah raises deeds in this month. As it came in the hadeeth:

Virtue 2
It is the month that Allaah سبحانه وتعالى forgives all His creatures except whom he wills, as it came in the hadeeth:

Virtue 3
Is that the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم specifically took to fasting a lot in it, as it came in the hadeeth:

Virtue 4
The Prophet usually encourages others to fast in it, especially the middle of it

Is that he صلى الله عليه وسلم commanded it's voluntary fast to be made up when missed as it came previously:

Reconciling between encouragement to fast and prohibition to fast in the month of Sha'bān based on authentic ahaadeeth:
The fact is that it is legislated to fast in the month absolutely, thus the Fasting should not miss you even if it's Monday and Thursday:

Whoever is not capable of fasting Mondays and Thursdays should triumph by fasting three of the white days of the month which are the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth days for verily they take away the wahar of the heart/chest, as it came in the hadeeth:

And fasting is from the most virtuous acts of worship that nothing compares to it, as it came in the hadeeth:

The fast in this month is very encouraged and not compulsory but it's not befitting for a believer to be negligent in it as the dunyaa is an arena of competition to the home of the Hereafter;

What's best for the one who missed fasting in Ramadan is that he repays it immediately after the Ramadan, because the best righteousness is to hurry in doing it, even though it's permissible to repay later till Sha'bān as it came in the hadeeth:

It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) said:

“The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) went out to the musalla (prayer place) on the day of Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr.

He passed by the women and said, ‘O women! Give charity, for I have seen that you form the majority of the people of Hell.’

They asked, ‘Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?’

He replied, ‘You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands.

I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religious commitment than you.

A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.’

The women asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is deficient in our intelligence and religious commitment?’

He said, ‘Is not the testimony of two women equal to the testimony of one man?’

They said, ‘Yes.’

He said, ‘This is the deficiency in her intelligence.

Is it not true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?’

The women said, ‘Yes.’

He said, ‘This is the deficiency in her religious commitment.’”
