✉️This morning, Citizens Alliance of Idaho provided written testimony in support of H0032, the bill to prohibit government imposed mask mandates.

*Hello Chairman Crane and Committee,

I am the executive director of Citizens Alliance of Idaho and write to you in support of H0032. This may just be the 6th time a bill similar to this one has been before a committee and then passed in the House before it died on the Senate side. We have conducted two petition drives gather signatures from people all across the state in support of a bill that prohibit government agencies from public wide mask mandates in order to protect against airborne viruses. In 2022 we delivered over 1800 signatures, and today I also emailed this committee separate from this message, over 1300 more signatures in support of this effort.

As you may already know if you follow the news and follow science, the U.S. House of Representatives Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic issued its After Action Review of the Covid-19 Pandemic: The Lessons Learned and a Path Forward on December 4, 2024. In this report, the committee concluded after months of testimony and research, came to multiple findings on the mask mandate issue alone..

1. Public Health Officials Flip Flopping on the Efficacy and Use Face Masks Without Full Scientific Transparency Caused Mistrust in Public Health Establishments.
2. The Biden Administration Exceeded its Authority by Mandating Masks.
3. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Relied on Flawed Studies to Support the Issuance of Mask Mandates.
4. Forcible Masking Young Children, Ages Two and Older, Caused More Harm than Good.

These findings should be enough of a reason to add into our statute that local government agencies, departments, and school boards may not, ever again, force the public to wear a face-mask in order to partake in a government service, or enter a government or judicial run facility.
