I want to address the elephant in the room, because I would like to be open with you. After more than a year of everyday stats posts in this channel, I stopped doing them.

My love for the game and for stats is still there. However, I cannot produce the same quantity of @halftimestat output at this moment in my life for a number of personal reasons. I could continue with occasional low-effort posts, but I’m not ready to settle for mediocrity, and I want this place to grow. So, I need to take a pause.

I will regroup and come back to posting regularly as soon as I can. I put a piece of myself into this project. And I truly believe, there is a bright future for it ahead.

What should you do? I won’t blame you, if you unsubscribe. However, I have a metaphor for you. Treat this pause like a piece of cash you forgot in your winter jacket, when you put it in the closet at the end of winter. And when it’s time to take out that jacket for a new season, that piece of cash will be a pleasant surprise you forgot about. So I’d like you to keep this channel somewhere in the long list of your subscriptions, and when it returns with even better posts, that will be your pleasant surprise.

Most points in a season, BIG-5 Leagues

Here is every team in BIG-5 Leagues to reach 95 points in a single season

An absolutely astounding 13/14 season from Juventus with 102 points: 33 wins — 3 draws — 2 losses

Three other teams have reached a 100-point mark: Manchester City in 17/18, Barcelona in 12/13 and Real Madrid in 11/12

A quick reminder, that the 16/17-season version of Monaco not only broke the PSG dominance streak, but also did it in a spectacular manner, getting 95 points. That was the team of Mbappe, Bernanrdo Silva, Lemar, Falcao, Fabinho, Joao Moutinho and many more. That team also had a stellar 6-6 score over two matches against Manchester City in the Champions League round-of-16 and eventually reached the semi-finals

Most points in a Premier League season

Here is every Premier League team to get 90 or more points a season. Three teams, representing each Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United

Ridiculous, how Liverpool's 18/19 (97 points) and 21/22 (92 points) teams are in the top-10, but neither of those won the title that season — Manchester City was one point ahead on both occasions

It's important to note, that Manchester United had 4 more matches to reach their 92 points in 93/94, since the league consisted of 22 teams instead of 20

Most Premier League headed goals

Following the post about the most left-footed goals, here are the players with the most headers scored in the Premier League

The first place shared by Harry Kane and Peter Crouch. No need to reiterate the strength of Kane. Crouch's header goals to total goals ratio, on the other hand, is very impressive: 40 out of his 108 Premier League goals were headed, that is ~37% of his goals

Tim Cahill's 22 headed goals look especially impressive given his height at 178 cm. Michail Antonio is also worth a mention in that with 23 headers and a height of 180 cm

Chris Wood is the only current Premier League player in the TOP-10, playing for Nottingham Forest

Most left-footed Premeir League goals

Last season Mohamed Salah broke the record for the most Premier League goals scored with a left foot. So I got curious to see, who else is in the top of the list

I was surprised to find no right-footed players in the TOP-10. I would've imagined, that a player like Alan Shearer (260 PL goals) or Harry Kane (213 PL goals) would've been in the top merely through the sheer amount of goals they scored. However, none there

Also interesting to see a midfielder in David Silva right besides a striker in Olivier Giroud. This happens, obviously, because Giroud's 90 Premier League goals get spread across headers, right- and left-footed goals, while Silva — scoring from midfield — mostly did it with his left foot: 49 out of total 60 PL goals

Agostini didn't score one league goal in almost 306 90-minute intervals. Abidal in 282.6. In fact, Abidal has 0 goals in 381 matches played in every competition. A truly great player does not always need to score goals. This goes even to such extremes

This post started with me seeing, that Jamie Carragher — record holder for the most appearances for Liverpool — had only scored three league goals in his whole career. In fact, two of those goals came in 96/97 and 98/99 seasons. So in the XXI century Carragher has one goal in almost 39000 minutes (~429.5 matches)

Each of the players in the top 10 (in the picture) was a defender. Bonera scored one goal in his whole career, a memorable opener against Brescia in 02/03
