ISRAELI CHANNEL 14 REPORTS: RESPONSE AGAINST HEZBOLLAH 'LIKELY TO LEAD TO WAR' WITH CHANCE OVER 80%, SENIOR OFFICIALS SAY; DELAYED ATTACK TO ALLOW FOREIGNERS TO LEAVE LEBANON

Israeli Channel 14 reports that senior officials in Israel believe a response against Hezbollah will "likely lead to war," with a probability of over 80%.

The report also suggests that the anticipated delay in the attack is intended to allow foreigners to leave Lebanon. This information has not been confirmed by other sources.

10 people were killed today in a Hezbollah Rocket Attack on Majdal Shams - a dual Syrian/Israeli Druze village.
The bastards hit a soccer field where dozens of kids were playing.

More than 30 people are wounded, three critically, and the death toll is expected to rise.

The IDF described the projectile as relatively heavy and are investigating the failure to intercept.
It is the deadliest attack by Hezbollah thus far and the military response is being evaluated.

▪️FIGHTER ARRESTED RESPONDS..

Yonatan Cohen, a fighter who on Oct. 7 had to use the equipment of killed fighters to defend himself and return fire - is now accused of stealing that equipment by the authorities.

The warrior's response:

On Oct. 7 understanding of the difficult situation in the south in terms of fighting, I put on my uniform and without being called headed to my friends in the south who were fighting. In combat I grabbed combat equipment and weapons that we took from fallen fighters. In combat, we took part in a number of combat arenas where we fought and assisted as much as we could.

On Oct, 8 I heard that the reserve unit I command was called up and I responded, so that I could in order to fight with my unit. The weapons and equipment I took from the dead on Oct. 7 I turned in to the unit.

About two months later, I was arrested during reserve duty by investigators from the Shin Bet who claimed that I was suspected of stealing and illegally possessing and using equipment on Oct. 7.

They stopped me in the regiment and made my equipment visible to my soldiers and commanders when I was taken in front of them, in terrible shame and humiliation. I was then interrogated twice.

When I came to return to the reserves, the army informed me that until the case is closed they are freezing me and are not willing to let me fight with my unit as if I were a class 2 criminal.

?DEAL NEWS.. New demand from Hamas, they informed Egypt that they are demanding (according to El-Ad newspaper):

1 - A complete cessation of the activities of the Israeli army inside the Gaza Strip "so that the negotiations can continue in a proper and positive manner”.

2 - They also demand the dismantling of what was built in the Philadelphi border corridor and the (expanding) border separation zone "to complete the negotiations”.

3 - The "return of the displaced to northern Gaza and freedom of movement in most areas of the Gaza Strip”, meaning the dismantling of the Netzer cross-Gaza splitting corridor.

.. Egyptian sources say Israel responded positive to the demand to abandon control of the border. Seems unlikely to us.

▪️TRAIN ROUTE DOWN.. Be’er Sheva line, for maintenance.

▪️ADJUSTING PM SCHEDULE IN THE US.. meeting with President Biden and VP Harris moved to Thursday, Trump meeting moved to Friday in Florida, PM will spend Shabbat in Florida and leave for Israel on Saturday night.

▪️JERUSALEM PUBLIC PARKING RATES TO DOUBLE.. for non-residents, starting August, to NIS 12.40 per hour. Residents have to register their car with the city to get the resident rate.

▪️DUE TO SOME IDF DONATION ABUSES.. the commander of ground forces intends to end the practice of units accepting equipment upgrade donations. Details not yet known, and there may be a lot of pushback on this - particularly from reserve units.

▪️MIN. OF HOUSING - DISCOUNT APT’s FOR SOLDIERS.. 20% of all the apartments discounted in the first-time-buyer discount lottery, are reserved for IDF soldiers.

♦️IDF forces are attacking east of the town of al-Karara, north of Khan Yunis.

♦️COUNTER-TERROR continues overnight in Tulkarm.

♦️COUNTER-TERROR this morning in Tubas, firefight, at least 2 terrorists eliminated.

♦️US: we have destroyed 3 missile platforms in areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen yesterday.

⭕ ISLAMIC RESISTANCE IRAQ claims to have attacked “a vital target north of Eilat”. IDF intercepted 2 drones coming from the east before they reached Israel.

⭕ “Only” 1 SUICIDE DRONE attack from HEZBOLLAH so far today, at Ayelet HaShachar.

Right before the rockets started flying this apocalyptic sandstorm came completely unexpectedly, unusual for the time, with intense winds and sand flying everywhere - orange sky and thick dark air.
The rockets hit, you could hear them make contact and I thought to myself thank G-d few would be out in this weather.
And then I forgot about it.
