The word "Possessive" in the dictionary has two meanings : 1.demanding someone's total attention and love 2.showing an unwillingness to share one's possessions
The latter is dehumanizing but I think the first one is reasonable and even essential for some people to want from time to time in romantic relationships.
"Belonging" also has different meanings, 1.be the property of 2.be rightly placed 3.have an affinity for a place or situation or...
Even the sentences "you belong to me" and "you belong with me" are on different sides of the concept of possession.
Intensity, closeness, oneness, trust, being secure, in the right place, caring deeply, paying special attention, a very solid connection, I associate these with the bright side of belonging.
I think it's possible to feel possessive in a nourishing way without being immature or all that. Like a loving but level headed mother, she feels that sense of ownership towards the human that is initially a part of her flesh and blood and it creates this strong connection and makes her care endlessly for them, but she knows she must love them like a human, with their own free will and all. It's nice to embrace the animalistic parts of onself that craves a "mate" but be human enough as well and respect them as one. They are "yours" as long as they wish though. Cause even your body is both yours and not yours, since you'll not be in it anymore one day. Type shit dige nemidoonam.

Usually when I'm not masking I seem upset but I'm not I'm just chilling unless it's proven otherwise and yeah I'm not that responsive or expressive but it's not because I'm mad or I'm hating or whatever
