Saying yes to new opportunities and new people (well, especially new people) doesn't always turn out nice. In fact, sometimes you can get traumatized for life. But most of time, it's worth the risk. There's usually much more to people than looks on the surface, and it just amazes me how much common ground but also various ways of looking at life you can find in different people. And the more friends you find along the way, the more wholesome life feels, at least that's how it is for me.
We live and we learn. Sometimes we get burned and sometimes we get to fly. Isn't that the beauty of life? So many turns every event can take. And today I was just thinking how grateful I am to be here carrying all this within me, burns and all.

If there's one thing I'm proud of, it's that I've never refrained from doing something solely out of fear of others' judgments.

Me trying to read Inej's POV without remembering everything she goes through in the first chapters of the second book and thus getting depressed af
