Kiev 60, a Soviet medium-format camera
I think it's time to start talking about the process.

Let's start with the cameras. Most of all I like to shoot on the medium format cameras. In a series of short notes, I'll tell you more about the cameras I've been able to shoot on.

My first medium format camera was a Soviet Kiev 60. I bought the camera at a flea market for like 4,000 rubles (very cheap).

In general, this camera is a great choice for beginners.

Pros:
- cheap
- simple construction
- not too big
- bright focusing screen
- a lot of cheap and bright lenses

Cons:
- Very unreliable; you need to cock a shutter as gently as possible with a smooth continuous movement
- floating interframe distance
