A Note for the Inner-self

Dear me,

"Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it." Groucho Marx

Invest your energy on what brings you more joy, happiness and gratitude. Because what you give power and attention breeds and grows more. So may you live every moment of the day with purpose and meaning. May you practice kindness and humility. May you also be a channel of hope and inspiration for yourself and all those around you. And may you learn the joy of being passionate in what you do.

Remember, you take charge of your life by how you choose to respond to the events that happened rather then by how you react to the conditions.

May you have a rewarding day.

A Note for the Inner-self

Dear me,

"By believing passionately in that which doesn't exist, we create it. That which is nonexistent hasn't been passionately desired." Nikos Kazantzakis

Your life is the manifestation of your continuous thought and your current circumstances are the results of where you had invested your energy on. By desiring positive and inspiring thoughts and by surrounding yourself with kindness and humility you create your future - a future that is enlightening and gratifying.

May you have a positively tuned inspiring day.

An Everyday Reminder to the Inner-self

Dear me,

Don't be stubborn. If you ever be so, let it be to your desire and commitment to change your life for better.

Don't lie. If you ever do so, don't at least lie to yourself. There isn't more demeaning in life than to believe your own lies and let them define you.

Don't judge people. If you ever do so, judge yourself for not learning from your past self and making the same mistake over and over again.

And don't be tired. If you ever be so, be tired of the voice in you that talks you out of achieving your goals, living the truth and doing the right thing.

May you have a day of enlightenment!

THE NAKED TRUTH

According to a 19th century legend, the Truth and the Lie meet one day. The Lie says to the Truth: "It's a marvellous day today"! The Truth looks up to the skies and sighs, for the day was really beautiful. They spend a lot of time together, ultimately arriving beside a well. The Lie tells the Truth: "The water is very nice, let's take a bath together!" The Truth, once again suspicious, tests the water and discovers that it indeed is very nice. They undress and start bathing. Suddenly, the Lie comes out of the water, puts on the clothes of the Truth and runs away. The furious Truth comes out of the well and runs everywhere to find the Lie and to get her clothes back. The World, seeing the Truth naked, turns its gaze away, with contempt and rage. The poor Truth returns to the well and disappears forever, hiding therein, its shame. Since then, the Lie travels around the world, dressed as the Truth, satisfying the needs of society, because, the World, in any case, harbours no wish at all to meet the naked Truth.

The world famous painting- "The Truth coming out of the well" Jean-Léon Gérôme, 1896.

There is this thing I always go through as my everyday practice, in my imagination I take part in my own funeral. Yes, I said it out loud. I participate in my own funeral. Don't think I am crazy, I know its a very commonly uncommon thing to talk out loud. We run the scenes of our passing in our head over and over again, both the terrible ways and the peaceful ways of departing the world. We all do picture that but we rarely talk about it openly.

I am not afraid of dying and I always wanted to go young. But its never easy thinking of it, picturing my self being dead. And what's more painful is imagining all the things that I say will never go and hold dear to my heart vanish. See my life ending while I say to my self but I didn't do this, say this or I wish I had done this before it all ends. I think of all my unattained dreams, the lives not lived, the feelings not shared, and the wishes not met. It just freaks me out.

But when the morning comes and when I feel the warmth of my own breath, my body moving and when I see that I'm not dead yet with yet another day to live, what more gratifying experience could there ever be. A new day, a new opportunity to live life as I want it, to live my dreams and do and be as I want. A brand new day to share feelings, to start over and to live life anew.Such a wonderful gift.

So let's celebrate life. Lets cherish each new day we are blessed with. A new day, a new life and a new begining!

"While spotting the morning star
welcome dawn with a smile
let your gaze roam along
the pink tinted horizon
embrace the sky and the earth
and whisper softly "I love you".
Then watch the glowing light
of the new day expanding
and hear the answer vibrating
deep within your heart:
"I love you too!" Margherita Rueger

Wishing you all to have a wonderful day filled with enlightening encounters and experiences.

Life in Five Short Chapters

CHAPTER 1

I walk down the street.
There's a deep hole in the sidewalk.
And I fall in.
I am lost. I am helpless. It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

CHAPTER 2

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it. I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in the same place.
But it isn't my fault.
It takes a long time to get out.

CHAPTER 3

I walk down the same street and there is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it there, and still I fall in.
It's a habit.
But my eyes are open and I know where I am.
It is my fault and I get out immediately.

CHAPTER 4

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

CHAPTER 5

I walk down a different street.

A Note to the Inner-self

Dear me,

"Society demands conformity at the expense of individual liberty. Let us be for once a non conformist to be fully alive." Dr. Wayne W. Dyer , Wisdom of the Ages

Ma you be able to dance to your own beats than lose your tune to adjust to the songs of other's for fear of being considered different. Learn from the great souls who have walked in this world, people who have brought big change, individuals that are revered for their great accomplishments, each of them were considered as outlaws and non conformists.
In the road less traveled there is more to be done and great things to be achieved.

Be a trend setter, dance to the songs of your heart, walk your own roads that you think will bring change and do not be threatened by the voices that say you can't bring change on your own.

BE BOLD, BE BRAVE TO DANCE AND WALK ALONE, BE A NON CONFORMIST!

Perspective!

I read this amazing piece on Instagram and I felt it is worth sharing. It makes you put your lives, the challenges you have passed and the highs and lows you have experienced in to perspective.

"For a quick moment, imagine you were born in 1900. When you are 14, World War I starts, and ends on your 18th birthday with 22 million people killed. Later in the year, a Spanish Flu epidemic hits the planet and runs until you are 20. Fifty million people die from it in those two years. Yes, 50 million.

When you’re 29, the Great Depression begins. Unemployment hits 25%, global GDP drops 27%. That runs until you are 33. The country nearly collapses along with the world economy. When you turn 39, World War II starts. You aren’t even over the hill yet.

When you’re 41, the United States is fully pulled into WWII. Between your 39th and 45th birthday, 75 million people perish in the war and the Holocaust kills six million. At 52, the Korean War starts and five million perish.

At 64 the Vietnam War begins, and it doesn’t end for many years. Four million people die in that conflict. Approaching your 62nd birthday you have the Cuban Missile Crisis, a tipping point in the Cold War. Life on our planet, as we know it, could well have ended. Great leaders prevented that from happening.

As you turn 75, the Vietnam War finally ends. Think of everyone on the planet born in 1900. How do you survive all of that? A child in 1985 didn’t think their 85 year old grandparent understood how hard school was. Yet those grandparents survived through everything listed above.

Perspective is an amazing thing. With so much happening right now and as 2023 ends, let’s try to keep things in perspective, knowing that we will get through all of this. In the history of the world, there has never been a storm that lasted forever. This too shall pass.

Happy New Year 2024🎈"

Cockroach Theory

The cockroach theory for self-development

At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady.

She started screaming out of fear.

With a panic-stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach.

Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky.

The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but ...it landed on another lady in the group.

Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.

The waiter rushed forward to their rescue.

In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.

The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behaviour of the cockroach on his shirt.

When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.

Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behaviour?

If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed?

He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.

It is not the cockroach, but the inability of those people to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach, that disturbed the ladies.

I realized that it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it's my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.

It's not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.

More than the problem, it's my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.

Lessons learnt from the story:

I understood I should not react in life.

I should always respond.

The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.

Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.

A beautiful way to understand

LIFE.

The HAPPY person is not because Everything is RIGHT in his Life.

He is HAPPY because his Attitude towards Everything in his Life is Right!
