In the UK, Labour has now voted to take away the winter fuel payment to 10 million pensioners. Their own commissioned report says this will kill 4000 pensioners this winter. This could save them 1.4 billion but if the 850,000 pensioners that don’t claim pension tax credit claim it to retain their payment this will end up costing them more than that. The payment was due in a matter of weeks.

Labour also said before the election VAT would be added to school fees from Sept 2025. They have now brought this forward to January, which means kids may have to move schools halfway through the year. The state schools are over subscribed and we now have councils telling parents to prove they can’t afford the extra 20%. Every tax payer pays towards education and is entitled to send their kids there. WTF!

The UK has also been told to expect tax hikes in the October budget. Yet, before the election Stalin was stating “it is the highest tax burden since the Second World War.” Now he’s going to make it even higher. We are approximately 65 days into a 5 year term of Labour. If Labour called an election today I do not think they would win. Very possibly, if called now, with the Tories not having selected a leader, I think Reform would win.

Blinked says they are 90% of the way to a ceasefire, although personally, I think it’s like a windows update that gets to 90% and then doesn’t move! They’re working with Egypt and Qatar and will put it to both parties. “It’s clearly in Israel’s interest to have a ceasefire….” He just threatened normalisation with Saudi and other consequences if Israel doesn’t take it. (Now I know Saudi changed their mind here and said there must be talks about a state, not that there had to be one given.)

The hostages were mentioned maybe once. Neither said that the ceasefire means all hostages must be released.

Now we move on to the vote to take £300 off pensioners that was not within the election manifesto. They claim the finances are worse than they knew, but before the election, Rachel Reeves (Chancellor), said she had seen the books and could not claim they did not know after.

Yet, within weeks of being elected, they have given train drivers an extra £10,000 a year with no strings. They work a 36 hour, 4 day, week right now. The Conservatives wanted reforms to be included. Personally, I think we already have driverless trains on the Docklands light railway, so put them in and make them all redundant. Although, then we’d have to pay them benefits. The tax payer funds the railways to the tune of £33 billion a year despite them being privatised.

They also gave teachers and NHS staff an above inflation pay rise that amounts to £10 billion a year. They claim public sector wages have not kept pace with the private sector. Yet, when public sector pensions were included in the calculation this was clearly not true.

1800 offenders are being released today, serving just 40% of their sentences. No violent criminals should have been released, but a guy in for a nasty assault - where he punched the guy at least 9 times because he wouldn’t give him a cigarette, and has 10 previous assault convictions, has just been released. One just interviewed said he has voted Labour all his life and supports them. ?

There can be no deal. There should be no negotiation. They have to learn violence does not get rewarded.

When a child does something wrong, if they were rewarded and not punished, they would do it again. This is just common sense.

Why is it when it comes to Arabs but especially Palestinians we accept the world accepts their behaviour and says they aren’t really violent people? Why is it wrong to call a spade a spade?
