Friends, today is the Mother’s Day in Russia! It is a wonderful holiday and a great occasion to recall how important mom is in our lives. We really want you to congratulate your moms today and tell them how much you love them. Don’t forget to do it! And we also want to tell you a little about how this holiday is celebrated in our country!

Let’s start with the fact that the symbol of Mother’s Day in Russia is a forget-me-nots. A beautiful and tender flower, symbolizing motherly love! And, of course, flowers are one of the most popular gifts that mothers get on this day. There is also a tradition of celebrating this holiday in schools and kindergartens. Children read poetry about mothers, draw pictures for them and make gifts with their own hands, and teachers help them in this. There are also a lot of city events organised on this day.
