سيتغيّرُ حالُ أُمّتِنا للأفضلِ عندما تعودُ المرأةُ كما كانت: صانِعةَ الرِّجالِ لا فاتنةَ الرِّجال.
[@sahabiak]
The state of our Ummah will change for the better when women return to what they were: makers of men [i.e, raising boys to become true men, by the Will of Allah سبحانه وتعالى], not a reason for the fitnah of men.
The Caliph Who Killed His Father
The Caliph al-Mutawakil (the one who freed Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal and allowed him to teach) accepted the pledge of his three sons: Muhammad al-Muntasir, Muhammad al-Mu'tazz, and Ibrahim al-Mu'ayyad, to succeed him as Caliph in that order.
However, Al-Mutawakil's first son, al-Muntasir, was heavily affected by the Mu'tazila ideology, so dissension arose. In time, al-Mutawakil planned to remove al-Muntasir and wanted to appoint his second son, al-Mu'tazz.
Al-Muntasir hated his father for openly criticizing him and trying to replace al-Mu'tazz instead of him. Turkish military leaders, who were waiting for this opportunity, went to al-Muntasir and told him they wanted to kill his father and make him Caliph. He agreed with their idea and devised a plan.
247 AH 4th of Shawwal at night, while al-Mutawakil was talking with his adviser al-Fath Ibn Khaqan in the corridor, four men entered and attacked them with swords. Al-Mutawakil and al-Fath were killed without being able to defend themselves.
As soon as it was confirmed that the Caliph was dead, the commanders went to al-Muntasir and offered him allegiance. Al-Muntasir told the people that his mentor, al-Fath, had killed his father. And the people gave Bay'ah to al-Muntasir.
In the second month of Muhammad al-Muntasir's assuming the Caliphate, the Turkish military commanders persuaded him to remove his brothers from power and replace his son Abdul-Wahhab to succeed him. He greatly respected his brothers, so he sent them to Baghdad to keep them away from him. While they were on their way, al-Mu'tazz asked, "Why did he send us here?" Al-Mu'ayyad said, "He is going to remove us from the Caliphate, you fool!" Al-Mu'tazem said, "I don't think he will do that."
After sending his brothers away, al-Muntasir chose his son Abdul-Wahhab as his successor in the month of Safar in 248 AH. When his brothers entered Baghdad, they received a letter informing them that they had been sacked.
Al-Mu'ayyad said: "I am obedient to the decision of the Caliph!" al-Mu'tazz said, "I am not one to accept this. If he wants to kill us, it is his decision." The messengers put al-Mu'tazz in chains and threw him in prison.
The teacher of al-Mu'tazz, Ya'qub Ibn Al-Siqitim, came to the prison and asked, "Do you think that your brother will be merciful to you after killing your father?" Be wise! If Allah has written this Caliphate for you, it will happen." al-Mu'tazz accepted his advice and pledged allegiance to Abdul-Wahhab.
Forty days after al-Muntasir removed his brothers, he suffered a sudden stomach disease. And when the pain was worsening, and he was close to death, he said, "May Allah forgive me! Indeed, I have lost this world and the next." Then in Rabi'al Awal 248 AH, he died at the age of 25 after six months of Caliphate. The burial was done in Samarra, Iraq. And the people said, " al-Muntasir, like Kisra, the king of Persia, killed his father and died six months after assuming power."

Allah is Above His Throne
Part 4/4: Evidence from the Scholars
Islam can be interpreted in different ways. One could solely focus on the deeds of the heart (أعمال القلوب) and that is all what Islam is for them. Another could only see Islam through the lense of j1had and fighting, and that is all what Islam is for them.
Both paths are dangerous. While they both are of paramount importance, the Deen is so much more than purification of the heart or fighting for the sake of Allah عز وجل.
Therefore, it is important to take from the true scholars and have a wide variety of a knowledge base and to not let their emotions be the distinguisher between right and wrong.

An image showing Italian occupiers in Libya shooting Muslim mothers in 1929. Their reasoning was they “encouraged their sons to fight us.”
Of course, the situation of these women was better than many others. Thousands of other women were stripped naked for days and humiliated and killed by hanging.
Today they come and try to teach us about human and women’s rights. The sad part is that Muslims accept them as examples and role models to follow. But they are the same for the Muslims today in their transgression and crimes!
