ModernBERT는 최신 논문과 기법이 집약된 임베딩/리랭커 모델이며, RAG 등 다양한 자연어처리 파이프라인의 핵심 모델로 활용되고 있습니다. 하지만 내부 구조가 복잡하여, 모델링 코드만 가지고는 이해하기 어려운 부분이 많지요.

저희 사이오닉 AI의 오픈소스는 이러한 ModernBERT를 유닛 테스트 기반으로 단계별로 학습할 수 있게 구성한 프로젝트입니다. 특히 PyTorch로 작성된 모델을 TensorFlow로 직접 변환하는 과정을 담고 있어, 각 레이어와 함수가 어떤 역할을 하는지 테스트 시나리오를 통해 명확히 파악할 수 있습니다.

또한, TensorFlow로 변환됨에 따라 Spring/JVM 생태계에서도 손쉽게 모델을 서빙할 수 있는 장점이 있습니다. Python 환경에 국한되지 않고, Java/Kotlin 기반의 대규모 시스템에서도 ModernBERT를 활용 가능하게 해주기 때문에, 엔터프라이즈 환경에서 딥러닝 서비스를 구축하시는 분들에게 특히 유용할 것이라고 생각합니다!

The collaboration aims to help accelerate Figure’s commercial timeline by enhancing the capabilities of humanoid robots to process and reason from language

We will be using this investment to ramping up Figure’s timeline for humanoid commercial deployment and will be used for:

- AI training
- Manufacturing

- Expanding engineering headcount
