Shaykh Al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah رحمه الله said:

“The remembrance of Allāh for the heart is like water for the fish, what happens to the fish when it is taken out of water?”

Hudhayfah رضي الله عنه was asked:

“Which trial is the worst?”

He said:

“That your heart is presented with good and evil while you do not know which one of the two to embark on"

📚:الفتن لنعيم بن حماد ١\٦٥

Shaykh Al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah رحمه الله:

"No one should speak without knowledge. Rather, one must beware of those who speak about religious matters without understanding and those who address intellectual matters without insight. Some people, claiming to support religion with their deficient intellects and flawed reasoning, end up doing more harm; their actions have given atheists, the enemies of religion, a reason to criticize. Thus, they neither supported Islām nor defeated its enemies."

Ḥasan al-Baṣrī رحمه الله said:

"The most clever amongst you is the one who remembers the day of resurrection & the judgement."

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"If anyone behaves insolently or walks with an arrogance, he will meet Allāh Almighty covered with His anger."

Imām Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Drink patience, for if it kills you, you'd die a martyr, and if it spares you, it'll leave you strong.”

Shaykh Al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah رحمه الله said:

‎“The worst type of generosity is being generous in gifting your good deeds to others due to backbiting, tale-carrying, lying, swearing and insulting.”

قال ابن تيمية رحمه الله:

وقد اتفق عقلاء المسلمين على أنه ليس في طائفة من طوائف أهل القبلة أكثر جهلاً وضلالاً وكذباً وبدعاً، وأقرب إلى كل شرٍّ، وأبعد عن كل خير من طائفته

Ibn Taymīyyah May Allāh have mercy upon him said:

"The rational Muslims agree that no group among the sects of the people of the Qiblah is more ignorant, misguided, deceitful, and heretical, and closer to all evil and further from all good than the Rāfiḍah sect."

Shaykh Muḥammad Bin Sālih Al-'Uthaymin رحمه الله said:

"A Muslim should do what he can to bring happiness to a broken heart. This is a great act of charity in Islām. One should treat people the way he would love to be treated. Do to someone with a broken heart what you would love others to do to you were you in their place. Let mercy for them, and aspiration for Allāh's reward drive your behavior."
