Our forces have previously warned, through official statements, of the dangers of turning Zamzam camp in North Darfur into a military garrison. International and Sudanese organizations have issued similar statements confirming that armed movements have transformed Zamzam camp into a military base. Furthermore, leaders and elders of the displaced persons’ coordination groups have protested in their statements against the training and graduation of armed movement forces inside displacement camps in North Darfur.

In confirmation of our previous warnings, mercenary movements and army militias have carried out numerous direct hostile actions from within the camp against our forces. Consequently, our forces were compelled to respond with swift operations to liberate the displaced persons from the army militias and mercenary forces.

Our forces obtained irrefutable evidence confirming the involvement of mercenary movements and army militias in converting Zamzam camp into a fully equipped military base, housing weapons and ammunition depots as well as operations command rooms.

The mercenary movements and the remnants of the terrorist Islamist regime attempted to distort the facts with false and cheap accusations, alleging that our forces committed human rights violations. We categorically affirm that no violations have occurred, and our forces have never targeted civilians. Rather, our forces operated with military professionalism, swiftly defeating the armed elements, seizing their weapons stockpiles, forcing them to flee the camp, and thwarting their plan to use civilians as human shields.

Our forces hold Burhan’s militias and their mercenary allies fully responsible for exploiting the plight of the displaced persons, which constitutes a flagrant violation of human rights and the principles of international humanitarian law, particularly those enshrined in the four Geneva Conventions.

We call upon humanitarian and human rights organizations to exert sufficient pressure on the mercenary movements to put an end to all other military activities in civilian areas, in order to safeguard innocent lives and spare them the dangers of conflict.

Our forces reaffirm their unwavering commitment to the protection and safety of civilians and are making every effort to shield them from the perils of warfare. We will press forward decisively to eliminate the mercenaries and Burhan’s terrorist militias, striking down their last strongholds in Darfur.

حذّرت قواتنا في بيانات سابقة، من مغبة تحويل معسكر زمزم بشمال دارفور إلى ثُكنات عسكرية، كما أصدرت منظمات دولية وسودانية بيانات مماثلة أكدت فيها اتخاذ الحركات المسلحة لمعسكر زمزم قاعدة عسكرية. هذا، فضلاً عن احتجاج أعيان وزعماء تنسيقيات النازحين في بيانات أصدروها على عمليات تدريب وتخريج قوات الحركات من داخل معسكرات النازحين في شمال دارفور.
وتأكيداً لما حذرت منه قواتنا في بياناتها؛ قامت حركات الارتزاق ومليشيات الجيش بأعمال عدائية مباشرة عديدة من داخل المعسكر ضد قواتنا، فاضطرت قواتنا للرد والقيام بعمليات سريعة لتحرير النازحين من مليشيات الجيش وحركات الارتزاق المسلح.

لقد تأكد لنا بالأدلة الدامغة، تورط حركات الارتزاق ومليشيات الجيش في تحويل معسكر زمزم إلى قاعدة عسكرية كاملة تحوي مخازن للأسلحة والذخائر وغرف لإدارة العمليات الحربية.

حاولت حركات الارتزاق وفلول النظام الإسلاميين الإرهابي تزّييف الحقائق بادعاءات وأكاذيب رخيصة بأن قواتنا ارتكبت انتهاكات لحقوق الإنسان. نؤكد بأنه لم تقع أية انتهاكات، ولم تستهدف قواتنا المدنيين البتة، وإنما تعاملت باحترافية عسكرية مكنتها من دحر المسلحين سريعاً، ووضعت يدها على مخازن أسلحتهم، وأجبرتهم على الفرار من المعسكر، وأفشلت مخططهم باتخاذ المدنيين دروعاً بشرية.

تُحمل قواتنا مليشيات البرهان وتوابعه من حركات الارتزاق، المسؤولية الكاملة عن استغلال أوضاع النازحين، ما يشكل انتهاك صارخ لحقوق الإنسان ومبادئ القانون الدولي الإنساني، سيما الواردة في اتفاقيات جنيف الأربعة.

إننا ندعو المنظمات الإنسانية والحقوقية، لممارسة الضغوط اللازمة على حركات الارتزاق، لإنهاء كافة المظاهر العسكرية الأخرى في مناطق المدنيين، حفاظاً على سلامة الأبرياء وتجنيبهم المخاطر الناجمة من الاقتتال.

وتؤكد قواتنا حرصها الكامل على حماية وسلامة المدنيين، وتسعى بكافة الوسائل تجنيبهم مخاطر الاقتتال، وستمضي بقوة لحسم المرتزقة ومليشيات البرهان الإرهابية، ودك آخر قلاعهم في دارفور.
