For the most part, terms like monotheism, polytheism, henotheism, animism, and so forth, are inaccurate straw men that betray a mixture of ignorance and arrogance from academics that know less than they think they do.

In reality, all the ancients more or less agreed on the fundamentals of the cosmos such as that there is one ultimate or absolute reality, that is, one intimate creator of existence itself, and then within the cosmos as we experience it there are myriad powerful spirits and intelligences that have many different kinds of identification including god, angel, demon, and so on, to limit myself to Western terminology. Where the traditions differ is in nomenclature, but not experience. What a proto-Hellene called Ouranos and what a Canaanite called Moloch are what an Israelite would have understood to be at around the same 'hierarchical' level within the cosmos but which were in fact 'rogue' intelligences or powers no longer in alignment with the absolute reality which was identified in the person of Jehovah; the aforementioned academics have constructed a new narrative claiming that Israelites were "polytheists" that were eventually overtaken by a "monotheistic" cult, but they can only say this because they haven't the faintest idea about what the tradition actually says and what the people believed; Jehovah was not simply another intelligence or some 'war god' as some pretend, but a given name of the ultimate, transcendent creator. The commandment "you shall have no other gods before me" is not saying "there are no beings called gods", nor is it the rivalry of one among equals, but a directive not to forget the cosmic hierarchy and put things out of order. If you're some native tribal and you worship a local forest spirit as chief deity you're forgetting something and your ignorance is going to keep you primitive and weak and from any kind of enlightenment.

Of all the aforementioned terms, 'henotheism' probably comes the closest to describing the reality of most historical religious traditions, but even then, I don't believe it is worthwhile or productive to keep any of these loaded terms alive as they only continue a narrative of ignorance and delusion.

“The bourgeoisie can only parasitize the state. It was they who led the country to what is happening to it today; the Tsar must trust the aristocracy and the peasantry.”

According to some traditions, the three …

According to some traditions, the three Magi were a Persian (Aryan), an Arab, and a black African, representing the three races of man descended from the three sons of Noah Japheth, Shem, and Ham.

Regardless of the historicity of this legend, they are generally also seen to have been young, middle aged, and old, signifying the ages of man, and to have been Chaldean astrologers descended from the school of the prophet Daniel.

The Magi were baptised by the apostle Thomas and became bishops; their names are remembered today as Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar
