Virtues Of Reciting Surah Kahf On Fridays

**Rasulullah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said:

“The person who recites Surah Kahf on Fridays, a nur will appear for him from below the arsh as high as the skies. This light will help him in the darkness of the day of resurrection . And all the sins which he may have committed from the last Friday till this Friday will be forgiven . ”

(Sharh Sifrus-Sa’aadah)**

The ulama have written that this Hadith refers to minor sins because major sins are not forgiven without making taubah.

Sending Salat And Durood Upon Prophet ﷺ
• The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Of your best days is Friday. On it Adam was created; and on it his (soul) was taken; and on it is the blowing (of the Trumpet); and on it is the Swoon. Therefore, increase in sending your Salat upon me, for your salat upon me are presented to me.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah! And how will our Salat upon you be presented to you after you have perished?” He replied: “Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has prohibited the earth from (destroying) the bodies of the Prophets.”

[Narrated by Abu Dawud in his Sunan #1047, Ibn Khuzaimah #1733 and Ibn Hibban #910 in their respective Saheehs, and Hakim in Mustadrak 1/278 He said, It is authentic on the conditions of Bukhari and Zahabi agreed.]

• Based on this Imam Shafe’e used to say,

“I love to send plenty of salat upon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) all the time and I love it more so on the day of Jumuah.”
[Kitabul Umm 1/546]

• Ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ عَلَيَّ صَلَاةً

The closest of the people to me on the Day of Resurrection are those who most often invoked blessings upon me.

Buying expensive bags and eating out frequently cannot be your favorite hobbies.
Your husband is already having a lot on his shoulders, so be easy going and creative.
Find happiness in simple things.

How Imam Shafi'i dealt with differences

Whilst sitting in Imam Shafi'i's class one day, his student Yunus ibn Abd al A'ala differed with him. He got so angry that he left the class and went home.

That night, Yunus heard a knock on his door and asked who it was. The one knocking answered, "Muhammad Ibn Idrees!"

Yunus thought of everyone who he knew by that name except the Imam. Upon opening the door, he was shocked to see Imam Shafi'i.

The Imam said: "O Yunus! Hundreds of issues unite us, and only one issue divided us? Don't try to be triumphant in all differences; sometimes, winning hearts is more important than winning situations. Don't demolish bridges you built and crossed, for you may need them again one day for your return. 

Always hate what is wrong, but do not hate the one who errs. Hate sin with all your heart, but forgive and have mercy on the sinner. Criticise speech, but respect the speaker. Our job is to wipe out the disease, not the patient."

This is truly very sound advice. It is easy to lose it. It is easy to burn the bridges. It is easy to hate the person. It is easy to take vengeance. But where does that get us? It only makes us bitter and empty.

An advice for every Sister who started to build dreams on a boy’s attention on her:

Dear Sister, if a boy is interested in you that doesn’t mean that he considers you his “future wife”.

As many boys like him who don’t fear Allah, he tries always to be nice to every girl he meets. The more she encourages him and be intimate with him, the more he keeps up flirting with her and build her up with his words.

He may “like” you now, but he liked many girls before you and he will like others after you whom will be “nicer” than you.

A boy like that, will always move on in his life, trying to search for “nicer” girls, but the day he will decide to get married, he will choose an innocent pure girl who has never had a boyfriend!

Dear Sister, wake up, turn to Allah. The door of repentance is still open!

Fight temptations; teach your heart to be chaste and pure.

Don’t waste it on feelings which displease Allah. Preserve it for the only one who deserves it - your husband Insha'Allah.

Remember, “If you want to have a righteous husband than teach your heart to be righteous first”.
