Virtues Of Reciting Surah Kahf On Fridays

**Rasulullah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said:

“The person who recites Surah Kahf on Fridays, a nur will appear for him from below the arsh as high as the skies. This light will help him in the darkness of the day of resurrection . And all the sins which he may have committed from the last Friday till this Friday will be forgiven . ”

(Sharh Sifrus-Sa’aadah)**

The ulama have written that this Hadith refers to minor sins because major sins are not forgiven without making taubah.

Sending Salat And Durood Upon Prophet ﷺ
• The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Of your best days is Friday. On it Adam was created; and on it his (soul) was taken; and on it is the blowing (of the Trumpet); and on it is the Swoon. Therefore, increase in sending your Salat upon me, for your salat upon me are presented to me.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah! And how will our Salat upon you be presented to you after you have perished?” He replied: “Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has prohibited the earth from (destroying) the bodies of the Prophets.”

[Narrated by Abu Dawud in his Sunan #1047, Ibn Khuzaimah #1733 and Ibn Hibban #910 in their respective Saheehs, and Hakim in Mustadrak 1/278 He said, It is authentic on the conditions of Bukhari and Zahabi agreed.]

• Based on this Imam Shafe’e used to say,

“I love to send plenty of salat upon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) all the time and I love it more so on the day of Jumuah.”
[Kitabul Umm 1/546]

• Ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ عَلَيَّ صَلَاةً

The closest of the people to me on the Day of Resurrection are those who most often invoked blessings upon me.

At age 4: My dad is the best.
At age 6: My dad knows everyone.
At age 10: My dad is great, but he can be a bit strict.
At age 12: My dad was nice when I was younger.
At age 14: My dad is starting to become very sensitive.
At age 16: My dad just doesn’t understand the modern world.
At age 18: My dad seems to get more strict with each passing day.
At age 20: It’s really hard to forgive my dad; I wonder how my mom managed to put up with him.
At age 25: My dad disagrees with everything.
At age 30: It’s very difficult to agree with my dad. I wonder if my grandfather ever got tired of him when he was young.
At age 35: My dad raised me with many rules, and I must do the same with my children.
At age 40: I’m puzzled about how my dad managed to raise all of us.
At age 45: It’s tough to control my children; how much effort did my dad put into raising us and keeping us safe?
At age 50: My dad had a long-term vision and planned many things for us. He was special and kind; he is the best!!

All of the above took 50 years to complete a full cycle, returning to the starting point at age 4: "My dad is the best."

For those whose fathers are alive, treat them well before it's too late, and for those whose fathers have passed away, pray to Allah to forgive and have mercy on them.

And we pray that our children treat us better than we treated our parents!

Ibn al-Jawzī al-Ḥanbalī رحمه الله said:

“The world is like an immoral woman unable to remain faithful to a husband, thus, it is a flaw for those who seek it.”

The Prophet’s ﷺ Face was Like The Moon

Abu Ishaq reported: A man asked Al-Bara’ (رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ):

"Was the face of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (as bright) as a sword?"

He (رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ) said: "No, but (as bright) as a moon."

عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سُئِلَ الْبَرَاءُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَكَانَ وَجْهُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ السَّيْفِ قَالَ لَا بَلْ مِثْلَ الْقَمَرِ

Abu Bakr رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ would be presented with a case for which he found no source in the Book, nor a trace in the Sunnah, so he would strive to form an opinion, then he would say,
“This is my opinion. If it is correct, it is from Allah. If it is wrong, it is from myself, and I seek forgiveness from Allah.”

إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ نَزَلَتْ بِهِ قَضِيَّةٌ فَلَم يَجِدْ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مِنْهَا أَصْلًا وَلَا فِي السُّنَّةِ أَثَرًا فَاجْتَهَدَ رَأْيَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَذَا رَأْيِي فَإِنْ يَكُنْ صَوَابًا فَمِنَ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ يَكُنْ خَطَأً فَمِنِّي وَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ
