? IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Statement on proposed emergency roll-out of vaccine program in Africa for monkeypox.

‼️ We are deeply concerned about the recent announcements made by Africa CDC Director General Jean Kaseya on 13 August 2024 and WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on 14 August 2024. It is important to address these announcements openly to the public. In his statements, Director General Jean Kaseya declared regarding monkeypox vaccines, “We have a clear plan to secure more than 10 million doses in Africa, starting with 3 million doses in 2024.”

We at SAVIMS would like to point out pertinent facts to both institutions and other relevant bodies of interest:

✅ 1. There is no prescribed vaccine with documented level 1 scientific evidence for monkeypox. The current WHO recommended live virus vaccines, Jynneos and ACAM2000, are (a) intended for smallpox and are thus experimental for monkeypox; (b) have reported serious adverse effects and (c) contain live viral strains which may instigate a resurgence of the eradicated smallpox virus.

✅ 2. The potential use of mRNA vaccines. There is no scientific evidence supporting the use of any mRNA vaccine to prevent or mitigate any infectious disease. The observed data of adverse reactions to experimental mRNA vaccines far outweighs any benefit.

✅ 3. Informed consent is an ethical concept that is codified in the law and is in daily practice at every health care institution. Three fundamental criteria are needed for clinical informed consent: the patient must be competent, adequately informed, and not coerced. It is not possible for any recipient of these vaccines to receive a legitimate informed consent based on the current research.

✅ 4. The article by Allan-Blitz et al, “A position statement on Mpox as a Sexually Transmitted Disease,” concluded that monkeypox is a sexually transmitted disease.” Preventative measures for this scenario should necessitate and provoke relevant clinical and primary health care and education initiatives directed at the high-risk group. There is no merit for the recommendation of experimental vaccines to the general population.

? Attention Parents- Do not sign vaccine refusal forms from your doctor's office.

Most doctors use the AAP refusal form, and it’s a trap! This document attaches a child ID to your little one that can be sourced electronically for the rest of their lives. It establishes and records vaccine history, or lack thereof.

“I understand the following: the risks and benefits of the recommended vaccine(s).” You’re stating that you’ve been given informed consent or full disclosure. But you probably haven’t. Usually, the doctor gives out the CDC information sheet and not the actual insert. That sheet does not give you adequate information to understand the risks, so you would be agreeing to a false statement.

Signing the document would also mean that you are agreeing and confessing that not vaccinating your child comes with incredible risks and consequences, including the death of your child and the responsibility of transmitting the disease to others. Not only is this untrue, it’s extremely incriminating.

It asks you to inform all healthcare professionals that your child isn’t vaccinated and agree to having your child isolated and tested as they see fit.

It’s a contract and could be used against you in a legal way. You’re asked to sign it in front of a witness in its “entirety.” You’re agreeing to everything it says, even the false information, and you're accepting responsibility if anything should happen to your child or others.

If a custody battle comes up, the form could be used against you by the other parent. I've sadly watched this exact scenario play out way to  many times and the Judge almost always sides with the parent who wants to vaccinate.

If CPS investigates you for related or unrelated accusations, it can be used against you. If there’s an outbreak and your child hasn’t been vaccinated, it can be used against you. 

Reactions are common, not rare.

Do not give Tylenol; document the reaction; and look for the following:

fever, sleepiness, swelling, vomiting or diarrhea, rash, pain or stiffness, seizures, excessive crying or screaming, jerking movements, shock-like state, jaundices, hives, headache, wheezing, chills, inability to breathe.

Do not allow the nurse or doctor to minimize these very serious adverse reactions.

Remember, nobody will ever love your baby like you do. Be their voice and advocate.

Think Critically. 

Research Carefully.

Decide Cautiously.

?BREAKING NEWS – WHO Member States Fail to Reach Agreement on Pandemic Accord; Way Forward in Hands of World Health Assembly

A last ditch effort of WHO member states to finish negotiations on a pandemic accord has failed to yield agreement ahead of next week’s World Health Assembly (WHA) – with key articles in the draft text still unresolved including the thorny formula for global sharing of vaccines and medicines during international health emergencies.

As of Friday evening, member states of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Board, assembled in Geneva, had stopped negotiating over the draft text, and were instead talking about the way forward.  And on that, as well, there was no accord, leaving a future pathway in the hands of the WHA.

? SPM NOTE: This still leaves the IHR 2005 amendments on the table at the World Health Assembly 77. Keep mobilising.
