Surrounded by mountains in the south of the Nakerala Range, at an altitude of 590 meters, is the picturesque town of Tkibuli in western Georgia. The city center stretches along the main street Gamsakhurdia and the river of the same name - Tkibuli. The city is decorated with Soviet-built buildings, among which the theater and amphitheater stand out. In the north of Tkibuli, the Ambrolauri road begins, which climbs the Nakerala Range in a steep serpentine to the Nakerala Pass (1217 m). From the serpentine there is a turn leading up the ridge to the Church of Nine Crosses - Tskhradzhvari. This fantastic place is located high on the karst cliffs, from where you can see the Colchis Plain, the Meskheti Range, and the Tkibuli Reservoir.
