These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are His delight.

Psalm 10:4,7-8
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. [7] His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.

Psalm 101:7-8
He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within My house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in My sight. I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

The deceitful think they will get away with their wickedness — That the LORD doesn’t see — But He does!

Psalm 10:11-15
He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: He hideth His face; He will never see it. Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up Thine hand: forget not the humble. Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it. Thou hast seen it; for Thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with Thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto Thee; Thou art the helper of the fatherless. Break Thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.

Beloved, pray this prayer with me! LORD, give us discernment, deliver us from deceitful men, and from the poison of a lying tongue! There is so much deception around us, it’s hard to know who to trust! Open our eyes LORD, to see the true fruit in the lives of those practicing deception, in Jesus Name!

In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and He heard me. Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

Deceit!

Many are taken captive by deceit! The enemy uses what appeals to the flesh to take his prey!

He will speak to you with flattering words that are really full of poison! Do you seek the praise of man, money, or fame? If so you are at high risk for deception!

The enemy uses flattery and deceit — He used this deceit on Eve in the Garden!

Genesis 3:1,5
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? [5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Those who only tell you what you want to hear, are not true friends! A true friend will tell you the truth, even when it is hard to speak it, and they know it might cause an adverse reaction! And they will always guide you to God’s Word, and they won’t twist His Word’s to tickle your ears!

Proverbs 27:6
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Deceitfulness is hidden by lying lips! A man of deceit will say one thing with his lips, but poison is under his tongue! We like David, must ask the LORD to deliver us from these wicked and deceitful men!

Psalm 140:1-13
Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings. The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. O GOD the LORD, the strength of my salvation, Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again. Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto Thy Name: the upright shall dwell in Thy presence.

Romans 3:10-18
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Judas was a deceitful man! For the love of money, he betrayed Jesus! He walked with Him and the other disciples, appearing to be loyal, but he had another purpose in his heart! With the kiss of a friend — He betrayed Jesus!

Luke 22:47-48
And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss Him. But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of Man with a kiss?

Deceit and lying lips are an abomination to the LORD! Many think it’s ok to deceive others — That it’s a means to an end! But here is what the Word of God says about lying and deceit!

Proverbs 10:18
He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

Hi Dave,

Several weeks ago I asked you to pray for my son Jordan Smith. Lots of trauma from witnessing the death of his best friend as a teenager. He went from being a popular, fun, straight A student to bitter, resentful, angry, rejected, addicted etc.

His dad rejected him after his friend’s accident and my son’s negative response. This happened when he was 16. He’s now 36 married with 2 kids. So many terrible things have happened to him since that accident. He attended church as a child and received Jesus as a young adult.

The day after you prayed for him his dad took him and helped him pick out a car. He and his wife got new jobs. He was always talking negative now he seems more positive. He lives a couple of hours away but I’ve seen him a few times. He wants to get in shape. My older son and Jordan have been estranged for most of their lives but they have been talking a lot lately. My oldest son has been delivered from alcoholism and he’s helping his brother with his drinking problem.

My son has had some deliverance in his early 20’s and went to Bethel healing rooms but the healing didn’t last. He seems so much better and it seems to be lasting. It’s like a curse was broke off of his relationships. Praising Jesus and thanking you for praying!

Also you prayed for my eye sight. Dry eyes, light sensitivity and a cataracts even with glasses I was having trouble seeing especially reading. I didn’t notice anything at first but then I told you about some spiritual abuses.

I can read just fine now with my glasses and much better even without them. I’ve had some breakthrough and some revelation about my situation. Territorial spirits and the Lord gave me a strategy for this.

In Samuel we read the story of God’s people choosing an ungodly leader to rule over them! They not only rejected God’s leader, Samuel — the LORD said they had rejected Him!

1 Samuel 8:5-7,18-19
And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. [18] And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day. Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us.

Beloved, do you desire righteous leaders in your Country? Do you desire for your Country to be healed? Cry out to the LORD in repentance and humility, for your own sins and the sins of your nation! Pray that those who lead us, will lead according to His Word!

LORD, We come humbly before You today, we seek You LORD! Show us every single thing in our lives that displeases You! LORD, forgive our sins and the sins of our nation! Heal our land LORD, give us righteous leaders who will uphold Your precepts! We ask these things in Jesus Name!

Last fall I asked you to pray for my nephew who developed uncontrollable nausea which lead to life threatening weight loss…he actually felt he was going to die. He dropped out of school and could barely work.

Medical test after test showed nothing. During this time, the lease on the house he had been living in was not renewed and he was forced to move. Within a month of moving, his symptoms dramatically improved. His nausea is almost gone and he has been able to gain back his weight. As it turned out, something in the house was causing his mystery illness.

I am so grateful he was lead to move from a situation that was killing him and for your prayer that I believe guided the way.

Father, We are faced with such deep and evil in this world, but there will come a time when it is defeated finally. Thank You that You empower and use people in Your plan. We thank You that You are using President Trump! We pray for supernatural strength for him in Jesus Name!

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved Me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for My Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in Me. But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave Me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

On the day of Pentecost when Peter and the other disciples preached the first gospel message after Jesus resurrection, the people who heard were pricked in their hearts and asked how they could be saved. Here are Peter’s words to these 3000 who were saved that day!

Acts 2:38-39
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

Not only is Jesus the only Name given by which mankind can be saved, once a person is saved, He comes to the Father in Jesus Name! There is no other mediator between man and God but Jesus!

So if you hear someone praying or calling on God the Father aside from the Name of Jesus, their prayer is not going to our Father in heaven! Or if you hear them calling on angels or saints, or any other thing it is unbiblical!

1 Timothy 2:5-6
For there is One God, and One Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

The power and authority we have in this life to do the works that Jesus did, and to ask of the Father any thing, is only in the Name of His Son, Jesus Christ!

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My Name, I will do it.”

Jesus left heaven so that we might have the forgiveness of our sins, and the power and authority of His Name! A day is coming when every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess His great Name!

Philippians 2:8-11
And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name: That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father.

Beloved, have you called upon the Name of Jesus for salvation? If not, don’t wait until it’s too late! Call upon Him today!

Romans 10:12-13
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same LORD over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the LORD shall be saved.

Just As You Are!

Do you believe that you can’t come to the Father because you’ve made such a mess of your life, that He would turn you away?

Beloved, Jesus died for you — just as you are!

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

He is waiting with His arms stretched out, calling for you to come to Him; calling you to come home, just like the words in this hymn speak.

“Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, calling for you and for me;
see, on the portals He's waiting and watching, watching for you and for me. Come home, come home; you who are weary come home; earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, calling, O sinner, come home! Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading, pleading for you and for me? Why should we linger and heed not His mercies,
mercies for you and for me?”

His Words in the passage below speak of His desire for those who are weary and burdened with the weight of their sin, and the cares of this life to come to Him for rest!

Matthew 11:28
Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

A great exchange happens when we come to the Father through Jesus for salvation. We surrender our lives to Him, and we receive forgiveness, and eternal life!

Beloved, God loves you! He didn’t come to condemn you, but to give you eternal life!

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

Let me close with the story of the woman who wrote the song, “Just As I Am”, that is so often sung as an invitation for people to come to the Father, through Jesus for salvation. Here’s her story, taken from the book, ‘Then Sings My Soul.”

She was an embittered woman, Charlotte Elliott of Brighton, England. Her health was broken, and her disability had hardened her. "If God loved me,” she muttered, "He would not have treated me this way."

Hoping to help her, a Swiss minister, Dr. Cesar Malan, visited the Elliotts on May 9, 1822. Over dinner, Charlotte lost her temper and railed against God and family in a violent outburst. Her embarrassed family left the room, and Dr. Malan was left alone with her.

“You are tired of yourself aren’t you?” he asked. “You are holding to your hate and anger because you have nothing else in the world to cling to. Consequently, you have become sour, bitter, and resentful."

"What is your cure?" asked Charlotte. His reply — “The faith you are trying to despise."

As they talked, Charlotte softened. "If I wanted to become a Christian and to share the peace and joy you possess," she finally asked, "what would I do?"

“You would give yourself to God just as you are now, with your fightings and fears, hates and loves, pride and shame."

"I would come to God just as I am? Is that right?"

Charlotte did come just as she was, and her heart was changed that day. As time passed she found and claimed John 6:37 as a special verse for her life!”

John 6:37
All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.

Will you come to the Father, beloved? Will you surrender all that you are to Him, and rest in His grace and love today? He won’t turn you away!

He is calling — Come unto Me just as you are!
