Our Hifdhstatus Khatm Class will continue from next week ان شاء الله.

We don’t usually cancel Halaqāt as the Qur’ān is something we always make time for - ‘don’t give your spare time to the Qur’ān, give your precious time. - Sh Jamal Abdinasir’

However, this week we will be studying with one of the giants in the field of Qurān - a senior student of the late Shaykh Abdul Hakeem Abdul Latīf رحمه الله تعالى - one of the senior teachers of Shaykh Ahmed Eisa Al-Ma’sarāwi حفظه الله.

We wanted to use this opportunity to emphasise that no matter how far you’ve reached in your journey with the Qur’ān, how many Ijāzāt you attain and students you teach - one must always continue to learn and place themselves at the feet of scholars no matter how senior they themselves become - this will reinforce humility within the heart and increase the quality and Ihsān with which you as a teacher are then able to give back to your students - ‘you can’t pour from an empty vessel.’

We ask Allah عز وجل to honour us through His speech, and place us in service of His path always.

I will be arranging with the Shaykh حفظه الله to share some wisdoms in a Halaqah/voicenote this week which may be spontaneous in nature so do keep an eye out.

‎يُهوِّن ذلك التفكير على قلبك كُل تعب وتكرار وصعوبة عند حفظك للقرآن”

Just the thought that you will read and recite the Qur’ān in front of Allah, and that your rank in paradise will rise with every verse you recite… makes every effort, repetition, and difficulty in memorising the Qur’ān easier on your heart.
