The table shows the share of women in the labor force and in management across five distinct countries. Overall, women in the labor force outnumber their counterparts working in management in the majority of countries, with the exception of Australia, where the latter slightly exceeds the former. It is also clear that Australia and the USA have generally similar figures, while the most pronounced differences between the two work types can be found in Japan and particularly Sri Lanka.

Starting with women in the labor force, it is Japan where a staggering 48% of women are working in the labor force, with the USA coming next in this regard (46%). Whereas this figure in Australia is as high as that in Sri Lanka, accounting for 42% each, the lowest proportion of the female labor force can be observed in Egypt, at 20%.

When it comes to managerial workforce, an impressive 43% of women in Australia and the USA are pursuing their professional paths in the field of management, with Japan trailing way too distantly behind (17%). There is also a two-percent disparity between Sri Lanka and Egypt in terms of female managers, with the latter being slightly higher at 12%.

The table shows changes in the value of five different products, measured in $HK billion, in two separate years: 2009 and 2010. Overall, there was an overall noticeable increase in the export value. It is also clear that equipment, telecommunity, and particularly metals became more valuable in export over the period shown, while the reverse was true for the remaining two categories, clothing and manufacturing. Although the value of metals saw the biggest rise, it was equipment and telecommunity that showed the highest figures in both years.

Starting with increases, the export value of equipment accounted for a staggering $HK 10.3 billion, more than $HK 2 billion higher than that of telecommunity in 2009. By 2010, the former had witnessed 13% growth, increasing to $HK 11.6 billion, whereas there had been a relatively considerable change in the latter in that it rose by 61%, reaching a chart-high of $HK 12.7 billion. Despite experiencing the greatest positive change of 120% by the end, the value of metals had a comparatively small figure.

The remaining categories – the export value of clothing and manufacturing – bucked the foregoing trend as both adhered to a similar downward pattern. The former decreased by 27%, going from $HK 6 billion in 2009 down to $HK 5 billion in 2010. The latter, meanwhile, had seen a 207-percent decline by 2010, reducing from $HK 5.5 billion to $HK 4 billion.

Taking all such shifts into consideration, there was a 20% increase in the overall export value as it stood at a whopping $HK 38.4 billion in 2010, up from $HK 32 in 2009.
