Wind Farms Taubenkopf and Holzschlägermatte - Part 5: Enercon E-138 and E-160 Fully Installed

The construction of the three new wind turbines at Taubenkopf and Holzschlägermatte in Freiburg is complete.

After the Enercon E-138 EP3 was installed at Holzschlägermatte, the E-160 was erected at Taubenkopf as the final turbine.

With the completion of the new turbines, it’s also time to bid farewell to the old E-66 at Rosskopf. In the meantime, the turbine has already been dismantled, and the tower is set to be demolished shortly.

The cable-stayed bridge spanning the Dongping Waterway is closed.

On October 31, CREC completed the closure of the cable-stayed bridge spanning the Dongping Waterway, a key structure in the Foshan Grand Bridge on the Guangzhou Zhanjiang high-speed railway.

The Foshan Grand Bridge extends 15.652 km. It is a comprehensive project integrating various bridge types, including cable-stayed, tied-arch, steel-concrete rigid frame, swivel and standard continuous beam, and precast simply supported box girders. This newly closed section over the Dongping Waterway spans 725 m. Upon completion, it will become the world’s longest-span ballastless track, steel-concrete hybrid cable-stayed bridge on a high-speed railway with a design speed of 350 km/h.

Once the Guangzhou Zhanjiang high-speed railway is open to traffic, travel between the downtowns of Guangzhou and Zhanjiang will be achievable in 90 minutes.
