Trash Talk #2: Business impact ESG&CSR

TRASH TALKS is a series of meetups about the waste crisis in Cyprus, possible solutions and business opportunities it opens.

On the 15th of December, we (City Friends Club & Cyprus Meetup) held an event in Limassol, Cyprus called "Trash Talk: Waste is all around!" ?♻️??

During the event, we discussed where waste is taken and why a significant portion of it still laying on city streets and in the surrounding countryside. We heard from companies that help citizens clean up the city and manage waste about their successes and challenges, and talked about what we can accomplish by working together, by educating people, by spread a word about environmental issues.

♻️ At the #1 Trash Talk, we will find out where waste is taken to and why a significant part of it remains on the city streets and in the countryside surrounding us all around.    Green Points are drop-off points (centers) that can be used by any resident for FREE disposal of their recyclable waste that can’t be put out for collection with household waste.

3. Kristina Cernakevica, Co-founder at αgnό zero-waste grocery store.
   Agno grocery is the first zero waste grocery shop in Limassol & Cyprus, our aim is to provide the local community with a sustainable option for day-to-day shopping and reduce the volume of household waste and disposable plastic going to landfill.*
