In a time where social media often draws our attention to others’ lives, it’s easy to lose focus on our own journey. Instead of constantly looking outward, we should take time to reflect inwardly on our own actions and responsibilities. Our time is precious, and we should use it wisely to strengthen our relationship with Allah and strive for better deeds.
As Umar ibn al-Khattab [RA] advised, “Hold yourselves to account before you are held to account.” This reminder serves as a call to evaluate our actions daily, for self-reflection in this world will make the Reckoning easier in the hereafter. Let’s prioritise our own growth and prepare ourselves for what truly matters.

Shaykh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: Dhikr for the heart is similar to water for the fish, what will the state of the fish be if it’s taken out of water?

Maalik Ibn Dinaar said:
