In a time where social media often draws our attention to others’ lives, it’s easy to lose focus on our own journey. Instead of constantly looking outward, we should take time to reflect inwardly on our own actions and responsibilities. Our time is precious, and we should use it wisely to strengthen our relationship with Allah and strive for better deeds.
As Umar ibn al-Khattab [RA] advised, “Hold yourselves to account before you are held to account.” This reminder serves as a call to evaluate our actions daily, for self-reflection in this world will make the Reckoning easier in the hereafter. Let’s prioritise our own growth and prepare ourselves for what truly matters.

Shaykh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: Dhikr for the heart is similar to water for the fish, what will the state of the fish be if it’s taken out of water?

Fajr is almost 7am & Isha is around 8pm.

Many of us might struggle to wake up the last third of the night for Tahajjud due to work or school.

Then what about the reward of praying the entire night?

The Messenger ‎ﷺ said: “Whoever attends Isha (prayer) in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) stood half of the night. And whoever prays Isha and Fajr in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) spend the entire night standing (in prayer).”
