Oh but I want to say, part of the reason I'm so exhausted is my husband took off work today and said we are going to one of the best bird stores in the country. My mom got my boy a new bird. Very fast, but my husband was intent on doing it right now if the birds were weaned and a available. The bird store is very close to where we used to live and it was literally one of the only places in NJ that my son and I could hang out at during COVID and not wear the masks and it was always such a wonderful visit.
It was not looking good the first few birds he held bit him and flew away. It was Saturday so very busy and loud and lots of people just there to look around. He held the last one, a beautiful high red sun factor conure, and said this is it and she came home with us. We could have NEVER afforded this bird on our own, my husband and I had to scrape every penny together to get our little green guy and he was 1,000 less.(A sun conure was one of my sons dream list birds And now he has her, for possibly 30+ years) She seems very sweet, so now comes bonding time and everyone getting acquainted.
He named her Seraphina. A fire spirit. A fiery, burning angel 🥹

For those who've been following a long with Jess in the chat today, this is her recent update. I've been offline and in the sun/water with the family and appreciate how many of you took time out of your day to lift her up.

Life is just shitty sometimes.

But those unexpected rainbows really do find a way of cutting through the stank and making things shine again.🫶🏼
