I passed this very degraded specimen …

I passed this very degraded specimen several times and today I finally got a chance to stop and ask for a photo. The shape of the badge, or where the badge would've been, the bumper, the suicide doors and the fabric roof identifies this model as a 1960-1965 Fiat 500 D. You can even further deduct this is a 1961-1962 car because of the colour that was only offered these specific years. It's a pretty rare car, much less a rare Fiat 500 as most surviving examples today are based on the late models that do not have things like the fabric roof or suicide doors. Something that was also somewhat unique to the early 500's - the chrome strips on the doors and the rear fenders.

An early model of Citroën 2CV. …

An early model of Citroën 2CV. The most important detail here is the chrome strip on the hood, a aesthetic accessory that was first offered with the "Luxe" trim of the early 2CV production, the 1956 AZL. However, this car has a metal boot, whereas the AZL had a tarp roof covering the rear of the car like other early model 2cvs. This is likely to be a 1958 AZLP, a further refined version of the AZL trim with an actual boot, P standing for Porte, 'door'.

Note the 'F' sticker on the boot; from 1940 these were mandatory for foreign vehicles used abroad; this car travelled outside of France during its service life.
