قال العلامة محمد تقي الدين الهلالي رحمه الله :

وقد توفي رسول الله ﷺ بعد أن اكمل الله الدين وترك أمته على أحسن ما يريده لها ولم تكن هناك أوراد ، ولا شيوخ طرق ، ولا زوايا ، ولا تكايا .
فيجب على كل مسلم أن يكون على ما كان عليه رسول الله ﷺ وأصحابه ولا يزيد على ذلك شيئاً ، لأن الزيادة في الكامل نقص وعيب وبدعة ضلالة.

The scale of manhood according to the Salaf:

Omar bin Al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said:

“Whoever fulfills the trust and refrains from [backbiting] the honors of the Muslims is the [true] man.”
