It's a clear and correct reading of the US Constitution that the separate state legislatures have ultimate authority over elections within their respective states. Tried watching the film “Foxhole” last night. Couldn’t sit through it.

Every war film in the west shamelessly detracts from the meaning of the wars, the positions of all of the nations/factions involved, the beneficiaries of the wars, the major battles, the propaganda, deceptions used, etc.

You’ll watch a film supposedly based on a specific war that runs for two hours or more and literally learn nothing of the politics and details surrounding the war. You barely even get lies about the details these days. What you get instead is melodramatic depictions of racism in the ranks and the glorification of democracy, a “democracy” which in practice has just resulted in the vilification and ethnic replacement of the race who made up the bulk of the soldiers.

Someone or other might say, “but it’s just a film, it’s not supposed to be educational”.
All films are educational. Every time you look at a screen you’re being educated. Whether you realise it or not doesn’t make a difference –actually, so long as you don’t realise it the education is more effective.

Film and television news are adult education. You learn how to perceive the past, the present and the reality of the world around you. And you only need to stop and observe the masses of obese, self-abnegating, blue-haired troglodytes to see the physical results of the messaging being beamed out from the screen machine.

The reason people should be worried about this submarine story isn't that some rich idiot got hoist by his own petard.

Civilization depends on an adequate supply of "50 year old white guys"
Having clean water, bridges that stay up, functioning air traffic controls, trucks that deliver on time, etc. Is all dependent on middle aged white dudes.
This sub disaster is just an edge case of a much larger problem.
