For me, it’s my opponent’s supporters, the establishment and consultants and special interests that back them, attacking my character and sowing doubt in the community and turning a non-partisan race into a partisan battlefield. This helps them deflect from the issues that affect us all and the dismal record of the 10-year incumbent whom I’m running against.

My response is to rise above. To stay positive. To keep hitting the streets and talking to my thousands of neighbors in the real world.

Let their keyboard warriors takeover social. Let the local media run cover and platform lies.

We have the truth and with that we can work toward reconciliation.

Balance is the key.
