Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! American Councils …

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! American Councils extends its gratitude to educators worldwide who are making an impact on student's lives within and beyond the confines of the classroom.

American Councils wants to thank all of the teachers who work on the many programs American Councils administers, especially those designed to nurture and support teachers’ professional development like the English Speaking Nation (ESN) program, the Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP), and more.
Teachers play a vital role in shaping the minds and futures of students, and their hard work deserves our appreciation and gratitude. Thank you to all the teachers who continue to make a positive difference in the world of international education!

*?Consultancy opportunity alert! Coordinator - Buston (Andijan region) English Access Microscholarship Program*American Councils for International Education is a premier, international non-profit organization creating educational opportunities that prepare individuals and institutions to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world. Through academic exchanges, overseas language immersion, and educational development programs, American Councils has designed and administered innovative programs that broaden individual perspectives, increase knowledge and deepen understanding for more than 40 years across more than 80 countries.

The English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) is a student-centered program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Embassies that provides English language skills to underserved students (primarily 13-20 years old) worldwide through extracurricular classes and activities. Access provides participants with a foundation of English language, leadership and professional skills, and exposure to U.S. culture and democratic values that may lead to better jobs and educational prospects, including future exchanges and study in the United States. The global Access Program has provided scholarships to more than 200,000 students in over 80 countries since its inception in 2004.

In Uzbekistan, the English Access Microscholarship Program has operated continuously since 2007, both as the English Access Microscholarship Program and as the English Access for STEM Program. There are currently 18 Access sites across nine regions and Karakalpakstan – several of which have operated since the beginning of the Access program in Uzbekistan. American Councils currently serves as the primary implementing partner for the Access program in Uzbekistan.
American Councils is currently soliciting for an open coordinator position at Buston Access.

Access Coordinators serve as a key liaison between an Access host institution, American Councils, the Regional English Language Office, and the U.S. Embassy Tashkent. Coordinators are responsible for supporting teachers and program participants and ensuring all Access-related programming at a site runs smoothly. They are the primary person responsible for overall management of each individual Access site.

This is a consultancy role; selected candidates will be placed on at-will consultancy agreements with American Councils.

Dear ESN family,

We are pleased to announce that the Educational Leadership Development Program (ELDP) has been launched in Uzbekistan. This program is sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan, in partnership with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and implemented by the American Councils for International Education.

Over the course of two years, ELDP aims to enhance the educational leadership skills of Uzbekistan's school administrators (school directors and deputies). As part of the program implementation, we are currently conducting a needs assessment survey among school directors and deputy directors. We kindly request your support in sharing the survey link with your school directors and deputy directors. For your convenience, we have attached a brief information text about the survey in Uzbek and Russian. Your school administrators have the option to complete the survey in Uzbek, Russian, or English. Thank you for your support.
