Frequently remember the Hereafter.
Imagine how different our lives would be if we remembered the ākhirah slighlty more often.
Imagine, when afflicted with a trial, the first thought one has is the bliss of Jannah and the everlasting rest and peace that the Believers have in it, and hoping to be elevated in Jannah with every trial in the dunya.
Imagine, when being tested with a particular sin or desire, one remembers the Day in which all of mankind are brought forth, and every single one of us is brought their record, including every single deed, no matter the size. Or, one remembers the punishment of the Jahannam, in which one dip in it is enough to forget every single bliss one has ever experienced والعياذ بالله.
Imagine how different we would treat others, when one remembers that on the Day of Judgement, one will only hope that they haven’t wronged anyone in order to not be retaliated from on that Day.
Imagine how different our priorities would be, when one remembers the Day in which no wealth nor offpsring would benefit, except those who come to Allāh with a clean, sound heart.
(يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ
إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ)
There are certain occasions when duʿās are accepted, some are more likely than others. Furthermore, if more than one occasion comes together, the acceptance is even more likely, such as Fridays when duʿā at the time of breaking the fast and the last hour [of Friday] come together.
Yaa Nafs,
What happened to our longing?
What happened to all the vows and promises we made to ourselves and to Allah ﷻ?
Yaa Nafs,
When did we lose our way in this blessed path?
When did we get so busy with this dunya that we stopped thinking about the aakhirah?
Yaa Nafs,
What happened to our longing?
Did we forget all our tears and sacrifices that brought us this far?
Did we come this far, only to stop now and not move forward?
Yaa Nafs,
How did this dunya delude us so much, that we didn't even notice when our hearts began to harden and our souls began to die?
Do the screams of the ummah not reach our ears anymore?
Have our eyes turned blind to their blood and bones?
Yaa Nafs,
When did we get so distracted,
That we lost sight of the caravan?
Life is so peaceful and content when it is spent in obedience to Allah.
No matter the hardships you go through for it, no matter the scorn you face because of it, no matter the estrangement that comes along with it;
As long as you’re upon the path of Allah, nothing can disturb the peace of your heart.
اللهم إننا نسألك الثبات حتى الممات
Ramadan Mubarak everyone!
May Allah عز وجل grant us good health and imaan to get closer to Him in this blessed month, ameen.
As we all know that fasting is obligatory in Ramadan, but in essence Ramadan isn't just a month of refraining from food and drinks, but it's a month that's supposed to instill in us taqwa - being conscious of Allah - through our fasting. So, bi idhnillah this is the perfect time to build and get back into habits you want to incorporate into your life.
If you've slacked off in prayer, then let this month be the incentive to get back into it. If the Qur'an has become a forgotten book or a neglected app, let this month in which the Qur'an was revealed in, be the time where you reinvent your relationship with it, even if it is 1 verse a day. Develop the habit of charity no matter how small the amount. Cut down on vain talks, distance yourself from sins and bad habits a bit. And don't treat your fast as something optional, inconvenient, that can be ignored or broken at the slightest reasons. It is what distances you from Jahannam.
Let this Ramadan not be a temporary fix, but a slow and silent dedication to take 1 step towards reforming our lives and ourselves permanently, for the sake of Allah. Because Ramadan truly shows us what we're capable of, and brings to light our potential. May Allah make us sincere, ameen.
On that note, remember the ummah in your duas this month; the oppressed, the imprisoned, the ones giving their wealth and their lives in defence of this deen. May Allah عز وجل ease all of theirs, and our, affairs. Ameen.
A very, very crucial thing for us as Muslims, is to never regret a decision you've made for the sake of Allah ﷻ.
Never regret the sacrifices you've had to make for Allah ﷻ, never think twice about things and people and dreams and wishes and a whole life you've had to leave for the sake of Allah.
The replacement of Allah is better than everything we've lost for His sake. And it's not even about the replacement. The pleasure of Allah is worth more than the whole world and everything in it, even if we never get the compensation for it in dunya.
One dip in Jannah, and we'll forget all the pains in this world. Being abe to gaze at Allah ﷻ is the greatest pleasure in all the worlds, in dunya and in aakhirah. And so we must train our hearts, minds and our nafs, to never regret any decision, no matter how small, that we made for the sake of Allah.
May Allah grant us contentment, and may He be pleased with us, ameen.
57 Muslim countries, 22 Arab ones, surrounding Falasteen, some literally a stone-throw away. Nearly half a billion Arab soldiers surrounding the enemies with billions spent on them, and they can’t mobilize to stop a genocide, or nourish the thirsty innocent throats of our children from the Nile that’s owned by Muslims just a few kilometres away!
What have the rulers done but protect the borders and interests of the enemies?!
Establish pure Sharī’ah in Ghazza today and watch 86 countries mobilize and invade it!
Shaykh Ahmad Jibril حفظه الله
Time and time again we see an astounding display of faith from the people of Ash-Shaam, whether that be in Syria or Palestine. People all over the world doubt their own faith seeing the state of the ummah, but these people take solace from their iman in situations that would shake anyone else.
It is no wonder that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has praised Ash-Shaam and its people to such degree:
“If the people of ash-Shaam become corrupt, then there is no goodness in you, but a group of my ummah will remain victorious, not harmed by those who let them down, until the Hour begins.” (at-Tirmidhi, 2192, hasan saheeh).
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (رحمه الله) said:
❝The Prophet ﷺ highlighted the distinct character of the people of ash-Shaam by noting that they will continue to comply with the commands of Allah until the end of time, and that the victorious group will remain among them until the end of time. This is speaking of an ongoing matter that will remain with them, that they will be numerous and strong.
This description does not apply to anyone in the Muslim world except the people of ash-Shaam… knowledge and faith are still present in that land, and whoever fights in that land to support the faith will be victorious and will be granted divine help.❞ [Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa (4/449)]
It was narrated that Abu’d-Dardaa’ said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whilst I was sleeping, I saw the pillar of the Book being taken from beneath my head, and I thought that it was being taken away, so I followed it with my gaze, and it was taken to ash-Shaam. Verily faith, when tribulations come, will be in ash-Shaam.” [Musnad Imam Ahmad (36/62); classed as saheeh by the commentators on al-Musnad]
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (رحمه الله) said:
❝The pillar of the book and Islam – this refers to something that acts as a support; what is referred to here is those who learn the Qur’an and adhere to it]
This is similar to the words of the Prophet ﷺ: “The heartland of the believers is ash-Shaam.”❞ [Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa (27/42)]
May Allah have mercy on the blessed land and the blessed people of Ash-Shaam, and may He aid them against His enemies. Ameen.
