We took him home yesterday. He has since been doing well. For reference - he ate the gummy ring of his foodbowl.. we woke up to it missing and were right that he ate it. All the plastic bits have been removed now via endoscopy.

This is his second big vet bill, both times from eating something he shouldnt and we are quite sure now that he has pica syndrome. But we do not know what causes it.

Both my cats were adopted, truffles is from a cat hoarder so I can only imagine his acting having to do with his past. I am actively in contact with a friend of mine who is a vet in training to find ways and offer truffles a good life, but if this keeps going I might have to consider giving him away due to costs and mental stress. Does anyone have any tips and tricks on cats with such issue?
