I finally cancelled my X Premium Plus subscription.
That means I'll lose the current subscribers and the small monthly revenue (the plan paid for itself really).
Why am I cancelling it?
The platform is not getting any better and I lost hope. I get spam porn replies almost under all my posts. It feels like they don't do anything about it. Their only solution is to add more plans and ask users for even more money. Yet the bots still exist and there are more and more.
The engagement is bad on almost all posts. Unless I post something very polarizing or some stupid thing like this post https://twitter.com/catalinmpit/status/1781246382642286669.
Lastly, the finance overhead is not worth it for those small amounts. I have to report all the earnings for tax purposes, even if it is $0.1. That takes quite a lot of my time.
With that being said - will I ever re-subscribe? Maybe, I never say never.
For now, I want to see if cancelling the plan has any effect on my account. If it has, I'll probably re-activate.
I don't know if you're aware of this website https://free-for.dev/, but it's a list of software (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.) and other offerings with free developer tiers.
Enjoy and let us know if you find something useful!

Free for Developers
Developers and Open Source authors now have a massive amount of services offering free tiers, but it can be hard to find them all to make informed decisions.
Companies keep contacting me to buy sponsored posts for this community.
They offer good money.
But I won’t sell ads here no matter what. The only thing I’ll do is to share announcements about my courses/apps (if any).
Just found out that Opera added local LLMs to the browser.
Apparently, they support 150 local LLMs, and all the data you submit stays on your machine.
Did any of you try it yet? 👀
Don't forget to vote folks 🙌
I don't know how many of you knew about this website, but it's damn good.
The http://grep.app site is the best thing I found in a while.
This platform indexes around 500k GitHub repositories, allowing you to search for code within those repos.
Lately, I've been using it extensively to explore how other repositories implement & use Kysely.
Replying to this message here. I work for an OSS company, so yes, I trust companies that have their code public.
Or am I missing something from the question? 👀
Hey folks! Anyone having such issues with Claude?
