Mālik From Ibn Shihāb From Salīm bin ʿAbd Allah, who said: I saw my father, ʿAbd Allah bin ʿUmar, perform Ghusl, then Wuḍūʾ, So I said to him:
“O my father, is not performing ghusl without [another] wuḍūʾ [afterwards] enough for you?”
He said: “Of course it is, however I sometimes touch my penis (ie: accidentally, or due to a need), and so I perform [another] wuḍūʾ.”

It Is Recommended To Bath On 'Arafah

A man once asked ‘Alī رضي الله عنه about taking a full bath (ghusl).
He replied, “Wash every day if you want.”
The man said, “No, what I mean is the ghusl.”

ʿAli replied, “Al-Jumu’ah (Friday), the Day of ‘Arafah, the Day of Al-Naḥr (sacrificial slaughter, ‘Eid al-Adhā) and the Day of Al-Fiṭr (the ‘Eid following Ramaḍān).”

Day of Arafah will begin on after maghrib on Friday and fast on Saturday إن شاء الله

The prophet ﷺ said,

“The best of days is the day of 'Arafah."

And fast on this day إن شاء الله the prophet ﷺ said,

“…expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year.”

[Sahih Muslim 1162]

The Prophet ﷺ said,

“There is no day on which Allah ransoms more of His slaves from the Fire than the day of ‘Arafah . He draws close then He boasts about them before the angels and says, ‘What do these people want?”

[Muslim, 1348]

The best dua for the day of Arafah:

The prophet ﷺ said,

“The best of du’a is du’a on the day of ‘Arafah, and the best that I and the Prophets before me said is ‘La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir

(There is no god but Allah Alone, with no partner or associate; His is the dominion, to Him be praise, and He has power over all things).”

Make plenty of Du’a on Arafah since duas are accepted on this day and refrain from sins. Do dhikr, istighfar, recite the Quran, salawat and give charity إن شاء الله

Don’t let this day go by being heedless because it is the day on which the religion was perfected, Allah says,

“This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”

[al-Maidah 5:3]

It is a day by which Allah swore an oath. The Almighty cannot swear by anything except that which is mighty. Yawm ‘Arafah is the “witnessed day” mentioned in the verse,

“By the witnessing day [Friday] and by the witnessed day [the Day of ‘Arafah].”

[al-Buruj 85:3]

May Allah سبحانه وتعالى guide us to goodness on this blessed day of Arafah and beyond and accept our ibadah.

Restricted takbir

It starts from Fajr on the day of ‘Arafah and lasts until the sun sets on the last day of the days of Tashriq, in addition to the takbir that may be recited at any time.

So when a person says the taslim at the end of the obligatory prayer, he should pray for forgiveness (by saying Astaghfir-Allah) three times, and say, “Allahumma anta al-salam wa minka al-salam, tabarakta ya dha’l-jalali wa’l-ikram (“O Allah, You are al-Salam [the One Who is free from all defects and deficiencies), and from You is all peace, blessed are You, O possessor of majesty and honour”), then start the takbir.

This is for those who are not on Hajj. The pilgrims should start the Takbir after prayer from Zhuhr on the Day of Sacrifice (the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah).
