The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Jumu‘ah is comprised of twelve portions of time. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allah for something will have it granted to him. Seek it in the last period after ‘Asr.” (Abū Dāwūd)
We ask Allah to aid and protect our brothers and sisters in Gaza and across Palestine from every side, granting them victory against the oppressors.
Reading Sūrah al-Kahf on Jumu‘ah
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever reads Sūrah al-Kahf on Jumu‘ah will have a light that shines for him between the two Jumu‘ahs.” (Hākim)
Aim for 1k Salawat
ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) said: “O Zayd b. Wahb, do not let Jumuʿah pass without invoking ṣalawāt on the Prophet ﷺ one thousand times.” (Jalā’ al-Afhām)
Ṣalla Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam.
Watch for the Day when the earth will be changed into a different earth and the heavens as well, and all will appear before Allah — the One, the Supreme. On that Day you will see the criminals bound together in chains, with garments of tar & their faces covered with flames. (14:48-50)
Indeed, the criminals will be in the punishment of Hell, abiding eternally. It will not be allowed to subside for them, and they, therein, are in despair. (43:74-75)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The closest the Lord ever is to the servant is in the last depth of the night. If you can be amongst those who remember Allah at that time, then do so.” (Tirmidhī)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When one of you prays towards a sutrah he should stay close to it and not let Shayṭān interrupt his ṣalāh” (Abū Dāwūd).
The wisdom behind using a sutrah is to prevent your eyes glancing further than the sutrah and, therefore, beyond your place of prayer. It also stops people from passing in front of you, and stops ṣhayṭān from passing by and ruining your prayer.
All human beings are servants of Allah – whether they acknowledge it or not. This is because Allah is the Ultimate Master; the only One who has complete authority and ownership over the universe. Whilst we can choose many things, many other things are out of our control. Whilst some of His servants are His servants by lack of choice, those who believe in Allah are His servants by choice. They recognise Him, worship Him and choose to submit to Him. They are His true ʿibād (servants).
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Jumuʿah is comprised of twelve portions of time. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allah for something will have it granted to him. Seek it in the last period after ‘Asr.” (Abū Dāwūd)
Continue to remember the people of Palestine, Syria, Sudan, East Turkestan, and the rest of the Ummah in your duʿās today.
