Telegram is willing to leave markets that conflict with our privacy principles. This has already been done in Russia and Iran. Telegram isn't perfect, but there is hard work going on to eliminate harmful content and increase transparency

Because of the surge to 950 million monthly users, the platform has become vulnerable to the spread of bad content, and it has become harder to moderate. But Durov has already started working on this within the company and will share a progress report soon
