tl;dr: lead engineer (AI) at Neon.tech, $150-350k/year, remote
We are looking for a lead engineer to build AI code generation for a new Neon project!
Wait, but isn’t Neon a database company?
Yes. And their DBs turned out to be a perfect fit for AI SWE agents.
Neural networks can write code in seconds and create tens of thousands of databases very quickly, еven if many of them won’t ever be used after the first five minutes.
Neon can make new DBs in a fraction of second, and old ones can ‘hibernate’ while inactive, but almost immediately ‘wake up’ on demand — magic! ✨
Now they want to build their own AI developer. We are looking for a lead engineer that will start working on this, and in the future assemble and lead a small AI team.
A few facts about Neon:
🟡founder — Nikita Shamgunov, who is also the person behind SingleStore, another DB valued over $1B;
🟡backing — over $100M from Menlo Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund and others;
🟡team — Postgres contributors and ex-CTO of Dropbox on the board 😎
They are also quite fun to work with. We know this, since we placed like ten people in their core team!
We’re looking for you, if:
🌟you have LLM experience and understand AI trends well;
🌟you’re a lead that likes and wants to code;
🌟you have built DBs in the past — this would be perfect!
Fully remote, get hired anywhere (with Oyster), the pay is $150k-350k + equity.
Send all your incredible CVs to Fedya @owlkov 👀
tl;dr: ML Research Engineers, image/video generation, US or Canada, $180k-300k/year
Working at Luna Park isn’t easy. The moment you take a breather, another startup we’re working with raises a huge round, and a new post is needed. Honestly, sometimes we just can’t keep up 👾
This time it’s HeyGen — the guys that create AI avatars from photos or videos, translate memes with perfect lip sync, and do lots of interesting stuff with that — from video templates to highlight reels.
HeyGen has been profitable for over a year and recently raised another $60M with a valuation of over $500M! And they are looking for ML researchers for their core team.
We need people who:
❣️have 3+ years in ML;
❣️worked on image or video generation;
❣️know their way around GANs and diffusion models;
❣️have a technical MS or PhD degree.
It would be a big plus if you already worked in avatar generation before! 👻
The salary range is $180k-300k, and you can start working remotely while your US / Canada visa documents are being prepared 🗽🍁
Direct all your questions and CVs to @natmartem
P.S. If you have 5+ years of experience in developing Generative AI / CV models and 2+ years of management experience, let us know — we will be happy to discuss a Tech Lead position!
tl;dr: LLM Research Engineer in a unicorn 🦄, $160k-220k, London
Oh no! We realized that our last post about Perplexity was back in December — and we are still hiring for them!
Perplexity AI is a conversational search engine, meaning you can interact with it by talking to it — sort of like a ChatGPT that indexes every relevant part of the internet and generates replies with links that can be immediately checked 🔗
Perhaps soon we won’t need to explain this to anyone — you often hear that conversational search will completely replace the default ones. Whether this is really the case, we honestly don’t know.
What we do know is that Perplexity is growing really fast:
🔺in January they had 10 million monthly users;
🔺two months later that number became 15 million;
🔺in April they raised yet another round with a $1B valuation 🦄
✨and this summer they were offered investments with a valuation of $3B!
No wonder they keep expanding their team — and are looking for LLM engineers.
The main and pretty much the only requirement is experience with billions-of-parameters language models. PhD in machine learning or publications will be a plus, but aren’t required.
The salary range is $160-220k. Relocation to London. Write to Natasha @natmartem and please do recommend your friends — we pay referral bonuses!
tl;dr: quantitative researcher, IMO/IOI/ICPC, Dubai, $220-360k++ net
We are looking for the one and only researcher slash competition champ for the new trading team at ????? ???????! ?
Some cool details: profit sharing (!) is possible, and senior researchers without experience in trading are also welcome! ?
You'll be getting the classic package:
?a wholesome team that cares about your work-life balance;
?a relocation package + insurance that covers an impressive amount of corner cases;
? Dubai sunshine and rainbows ☀️
And the salary structure goes like this:
? base: $12k-15k/month (if your interview results match the level of senior quants at the team);
➡️bonuses: starting numbers are half of your annual base => they get doubled after the team becomes self-sufficient (in a year or so);
⭐️profit sharing is unlocked once the team starts making profit!
To sum it all up, you’re getting $220k-360k/year + profit sharing — net, since Dubai is tax-free ?
Resumes and referrals go to Fedya @owlkov
tl;dr: Founding MLE/MLOps, $200k–380k/year + equity, relocation to London
While hopes and fears are brewing around Ilya Sutskever’s next steps, we got you a safety supervising intelligence job opening.
Atla is a London-based startup that is building AI for automatic evaluation and testing of other AI products. More specifically, they are training LLMs to assess other models while also providing a handy API for genAI app developers.
Why is this necessary? Well, for example, to make sure that your model won’t suggest its users to keep cheese on their pizza with superglue ?
Why LLMs? Because assessing models with human efforts is very expensive and hard-to-scale. General-purpose models aren’t doing too well on this front, and Atla is one of the pioneers in developing supervisor models.
They received $5M in seed funding — this was the biggest round in the S23 batch — from Y Combinator, Creandum and founders of Reddit and Cruise.
We are looking for a Founding ML Engineer to join their team. You will be, erm, supervising the development of fine-tuning frameworks and LLMs, collaborating with the research team on data generation, and doing other stuff that important ML experts do ??
Let’s say, you:
*✨ have managed multi-instance clusters for parallel training across hundreds of GPUs/TPUs — preferably using PyTorch and Kubernetes;
✨ have launched, served and optimized *large ML models;
✨ are very cool! For example, you’re from a top uni and have publications, or you have worked in Stability or Meta, or maybe your Kaggle rating is through the roof. We want to know! ❤
Since they’re in an early stage, the equity share is significant. Your visa will be sponsored and relocation arranged through the UK AI Futures programme. The annual salary range is $200k-380k.
Direct all your CVs, questions and referrals to @punalarnik ✏
tl;dr: competitive programming & math meetup in London
We are organizing a meetup for competitive programmers in London on the 13th of July!
It went like this: Nadya asked her ICPC friends about events like this one, they said there weren’t any in London, so we simply had to become pioneers and do it ourselves! ?
If you spent the best years of your life grinding on Codeforces, or your heart skips a beat because IMO '24 is happening in your city despite you not being sixteen anymore — please come!
Things to do (a few ideas):
⭕happily find out that the people you met at contests a million years ago are living in London too;
⭕make new friends with competitive backgrounds from all over the world;
⭕discuss hot topics, such as ‘Wait, AI is going to take OUR jobs too?’, ‘The Burnout Pit: Falling In and Climbing Out’, ‘Ethical Uses for Massive Piles of Cash’ and ‘Meaning of Life: 42, really?’
⭕eat strawberries ?**
The date is 13th of July, the location will be revealed soon.
Here’s the registration link, and we will also share a link to a group chat later.
And feel free to share this post with your friends — here or on Linkedin!
tl;dr: SWE (Core Rust Engineer), remote, $150-200k/year + $50k-150k in tokens
It’s safe to say that NEAR will always occupy a special place in our heart — a while ago we hired ten or so people for their core team, and from that point Luna Park and NEAR were never the same ?
It’s a sharding-based blockchain that was backed by Andreesssen Horowitz and now has the 2nd highest number of daily users and the 20th largest market cap in crypto.
The founders are an ICPC champion and a co-author of the legendary “Attention Is All You Need” paper who managed TensorFlow’s development.
Once again, we are looking for a Core Engineer!
It has all the good NEAR stuff — algorithms, complicated state machines, concurrent systems and a world-class team ?
As for the requirements:
?experience with blockchain protocols or excellent low-level/systems experience — e.g. database internals;
?deep knowledge of concurrency;
?impressive achievements — perhaps you won contests, worked at Parity, or your project has lots of stars on GitHub ✨
?Rust — in rare cases, moving from C++ is fine too ?
The position is fully remote, the salary range is $150k-200k/year + $50k-150k in tokens — various perks included, like a budget for setting up your home office.
@AlbinaMakarova is waiting for your questions, resumes and awesome referrals❤️
tl;dr: Founding Engineer with systems experience, $150k-250k + equity 0.5-1%, US hours
Wake Up Babe, New Luna Park Clients Just Dropped! ??
Axiom — an NYC-based startup building a trustless solution for complete historical data access on Ethereum. mic drop
It has everything we love:
?cool founders from academia — a young UChicago professor with IPhO and IMO medals and a mathematician from Harvard and UChicago;
?small team — ex-Google, Facebook, Coinbase;
?$20M raised last round — backed by some of the best investors in crypto.
We’re looking for a founding ZK engineer — in simple terms, a smart systems engineer with a strong math background.
You’ll be writing Rust code and solving some of the hardest math-heavy problems in the industry — a rare opportunity for product development.
No ZK and Rust experience needed!
But excellent math skills and low-level experience — DB, compilers, HFT, embedded — won’t hurt ?
The pay is $150k-250k + equity in the range of 0.5-1%.
Remote is possible, but you’ll have to work around US hours. If you’re in the US — even better!
Send your resumes, questions, and referrals to @AlbinaMakarova
tl;dr: Frontend Engineer, $95k-135k/year, relocation to London
We❤️ London. This one is for the frontend folks who also love London ?
Recraft is a startup founded by Anna Veronika Dorogush, the creator of Catboost, one of the most popular ML frameworks in the world.
This is a platform for designers that allows them to create and alter illustrations, icons, logos, and any kind of graphical design. It comes with a magical AI assistant that – like a futuristic Adobe Illustrator – helps the designer with each step of the process ?
Requirements:
?3+ years of frontend experience;
? in-depth knowledge of React;
? skills in solving algorithmic problems.
Nice-to-haves:
? graphics experience (Pixi.js, Skia)
? top-tier CS education (e.g. a well-known uni / bootcamp, etc)
$95k-135k + equity, relocation to London, and the interviewing process is lightning fast ⚡️
Reach out to @AlbinaMakarova to apply or learn more!
tl;dr: Research Scientist, generative video AI, remote, $180k-250k + equity
Hey, we're back! Today — with a Research Scientist position at Moonvalley!
Moonvalley creates videos out of simple text prompts — think Midjourney, but for video. Their growth rates also rival those of Midjourney, with 100,000 Discord users in just 6 weeks. And they have already raised $30M from Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator!
As a Research Scientist, you will not only play a crucial role in the company's success but also lay down the foundational bricks for technologies that transform the whole video industry.
You will need:
☄️ 3+ years of experience working with world-class research teams;
☄️ Experience in researching and deploying frontier tech — such as LLMs, image diffusion, etc.;
☄️ Citations or publications in major industry journals and/or conferences.
It has the classic startup vibes we love — small and passionate team, lots of work, great responsibility, and, of course, very competitive compensation.
The position is remote-first, but the company can help with relocation to the UAE (easier option) or Canada (one that’s a little more complicated). They pay $180k-250k + a significant equity package.
For more details, reach out to @natmartem — and share your Moonvalley-generated videos in the comments!
