ʿibn ʿabbās رضي الله عنه said:

“the one who has in him no qurʾān [does not recite qurʾān] is like a ruined house.”

{tafsīr al-tabari 9/385}

abu hurayrah رضي الله عنه said:

“the ayah: [you are the best community ever raised for humanity.] means, the best of peoples for the people, as you bring them with chains on their necks till they embrace Islam.”

{ṣaḥīḥ al bukhāri 4557}

rasūl Allāh ﷺ said:

“the anṣār do not hate a man which believes in Allah and the last day” he ﷺ also said “from imān is loving the anṣār, and from nifāq is hating the anṣār

{كتاب الإمان ٤٨}

ʿuthmān ibn ʿaffān رضي الله عنه said:

لَوْ أَنَّ قُلُوبَنَا طَهُرَتْ مَا شَبِعَتْ مِنْ كَلَامِ اللهِ
“if our hearts were pure, we would never be tired of the speech of Allāh”

{hilyat al-ʿawliyaʾ 7/272}

shaykh al-islām ibn taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

“al-Istighfār removes afflictions.”⁣

shaykh al-Islām ibn taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

"for how many were there that were not of handsome appearance, however through the performance of righteous deeds his beauty and attractiveness intensified until that became manifest upon his appearance."

rasul Allāh ﷺ said:

“verily, Allāh does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people, but he takes it away by taking away the scholars. When there are no longer any ʿulama’ left, people will appoint ignorant leaders who will be asked and will give fatāwa without knowledge, thereby going astray and leading others astray.”

Al-Imām Ibn Qutaybah (رحمه الله) said :

“How can anyone claim that He [Allāh] is everywhere by incarnation (Ḥulūl) when He Himself said: ‘The Most Merciful istawā on the Throne’ [Qurʾān 20:5], meaning ‘settled’. We can also compare it to the verse: ‘And when you have boarded the ship, you and those with you’ [Qurʾān 23:28], where it should be understood as ‘when you have settled.’”

al dhahabi al shafiʾi said: it is narrated that khālid ibn abdullāh al qasri addressed the people on eid al adha in wāsit and said:

“offer your sacrifices, may Allāh accept your sacrifices, for I am going to sacrifice al-jaʾd ibn dirham.
he claimed that Allah did not take Ibrahim as a close friend, nor did he speak to musa directly.”

then he descended and slaughtered him.
