When building a startup using VC money, your thinking and perspective has to change right away. If you walk into a meeting and tell a VC that you are building a company that will be worth $100 million, they will simply thank you and walk out. Not interested in small ideas. You may wonder why?

Something called venture math. For every 40 investments that an investor makes, around 30 of those go bankrupt. Some return some money and only 1 or 2 will return 100x or more. So when selecting companies they have to filter by the ones who can be at least $1 billion company.

In simple words, if you want to get investments, be ambitious and aim for the stars ?

The ultimate adversary is not just intelligent or merely inspirational. The most formidable opponent possesses both intelligence and the ability to inspire others.

The truth is you can’t build exceptional things in life without also convincing and inspiring extremely smart people to join you in the journey and take the risks. Optimism and ambition is very contagious (and attractive) but so is pessimism and complacence. Watch out and make sure you are heading where you want to be.

Sometimes I wanna be as innocent and wholesome as the people who reply to ‘welcome’ emails from a business as ‘Thank you for the email!’ ?
