Today is April Fools’ Day, a day dedicated to practical jokes and hoaxes like that one. It's a time when people play light-hearted pranks on each other, often with the aim of making someone believe something that is not true.

In fact, it has become a day when newspapers, websites, and other media outlets publish fake news stories and articles to fool their readers. Companies also often participate by announcing fake products or services, leading to humorous reactions from the public.

While the pranks and jokes can sometimes be elaborate, the spirit of April Fool's Day is generally one of good-natured fun and laughter.

Here’s some vocabulary for you:

So, the CEFR (The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) scale of language proficiency is being changed from A1 to C2 to include a new C3 language proficiency level. The new changes will come into effect from Jan 1st 2025.

This is both good and bad news I feel. On the one hand, I’ve always felt there was a need for a C3 level of language proficiency but at the same time, it seems to be creating more challenges and work for students and teachers.
