For the locals, FF are down to 150. That's a loss of about 80 seats on councils. SF fairly steady still, Aontu up pretty significantly. 40 Cllrs is probably unrealistic.

SF and Aontu are running a lot of first time candidates, FF have a lot of incumbents so the swing probably won't be as drastic as this one.

But still, the locals look like they're going to be carnage for FF.

SF down to 44 seats and FG on 35. FF on 28 is probably optimistic. They're trending at or below the same level as 2011. While not as many people are as hostile to them as back then, there is zero reason to ever give them a transfer. Absolutely nobody likes them, from right to left of political spectrum.

Interestingly based on these numbers, neither FFGG (70) or SFF (72) would have numbers to form a majority (new Dail will have 174 seats, so majority of 87).

SF down to 23% this far out from the official election period is significant. They've breached the 25% and are trending downwards, hard.

Most people only get engaged in the few weeks of campaigning. With the ball going away from them this early on, SF might be looking at a sub 20% vote on the day.

Given that most of their candidates for the local elections won't be incumbents, there will be a lot of fumbling at the doors over policy of immigration.

If we are very lucky SF might implode totally in some areas of the country. Nationally they will hopefully drop as far as 15% but that's probably very unlikely.

I'll stick with my last guess of 20-25% for now but that could easily drop further.
