Politics is a game, and largely fake at this point given the USA is an oligarchy masquerading as a democracy. So to take the game seriously requires the same talent stack as that of an NFL coach. You must smart enough to do the job well, and stupid enough to take it seriously.

But when you have an election like 2024, where oligarchs are lining up on either side, this tells you something serious is going on for once. When Mark Cuban and Reid Hoffman are on one side and Elon Musk and David Sacks are on the other - some kind of genuine power struggle is afoot that we can’t fully understand.

The status quo is a nightmare for average people, and Trump is the disrupter of the system that gave us this nightmare - consisting in foreign immigration/invasion, pointless foreign wars, DEI, inflation and other things. The collection of forces against Trump, the panic and hysteria they exhibit, makes this an obvious choice. Trump is a possibility of breaking out of the nightmare. Harris is a shot of fentanyl so you pass out in your bathtub while the slow motion destruction plays on.
