Upon further inspection, their attack wounds seemed more likely to be a cat's, so who knows what this baby went through 🥺

My theory is it got attacked by a local predatory bird (chimango) and somehow survived? Since I don't think the parents actually tried to hurt it. Wounds are all closed, no sign of bleeding. Crop is half full, too, so it either fell today or the parents were feeding it on the floor. Only reason I picked it up is... there's dogs around, cat's too.
