The funding applications submitted by four organisations that are funded primarily by the Scottish Government – LGBT Youth Scotland, Equality Network, Engender and Elect Her – were requested via a Freedom of Information request to the Scottish Government.

The FOI was initially refused on the grounds that releasing the information may deter the organisations from making future applications for funding or impact on their commercial activities. This decision was upheld by a review, and it took the involvement of the Scottish Information Commissioner before the Government agreed to release the documents

The Scottish Government normally publishes FOI responses on its website but since it has chosen not to do so on this occasion, we are publishing the documents here.
