Professor Meghnad Saha
👉The great Indian scientist and astronomer Professor Meghnad Saha was born on October 6, 1893.
👉Meghnad Saha, one of India's most distinguished scientists, was an internationally renowned astronomer. The basis of his fame is -Saha equation. This equation explains the physical and chemical conditions in the stars.
👉The credit for establishing many important institutions like ‘Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics’ and ‘Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science’ goes to Professor Saha.
👉He received his early education from Dhaka Collegiate School and later received education from Dhaka College.
👉In the year 1917, he was appointed as Professor of Quantum Physics in the University College of Science, Kolkata.
👉Saha, along with Satyendranath Bose, translated the papers of Einstein and Minkowski into English.
👉In the year 1919, a research paper of Saha was published in an American astrophysical journal. This was the same research paper in which he had propounded the 'Ionization Formula'.
👉This formula is able to give astronomers information about the internal temperature and pressure of the Sun and other stars.
👉The Saha equation is used in the study of interpreting the spectra of stars through thermal ionization of elements.
👉This equation is one of the basic tools for the interpretation of spectra of stars in astrophysics. Based on this, the temperature of stars can be found out by studying the spectra of different stars.
👉Using Professor Saha's equation, the state of ionization of various elements forming stars can be determined. Professor Saha also invented an instrument to measure the weight and pressure of solar rays.
👉Professor Meghnad Saha has served on many scientific institutions, committees; Such as National Academy of Sciences, Indian Physical Society, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science along with the Department of Physics at Allahabad University and helped create the Institute of Nuclear Physics at Calcutta (Kolkata).
👉Apart from being a great scientist, Professor Saha was also a freedom fighter. He also contributed to the independence of the country. Meghnad came in contact with the revolutionaries while studying in Presidency College.
👉After this, he also came in contact with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Rajendra Prasad. Professor Meghnad Saha, who has underlined the importance of science in India and its prosperity, has made an unmatched contribution in building a modern and capable India.
👉Apart from being a scientist, Professor Saha was also popular among the general public. He won India's first Lok Sabha elections in 1952 as an independent candidate from Calcutta with an overwhelming majority.
👉He died on February 16, 1956.

Subhadra Kumari Chauhan
👉Subhadra Kumari Chauhan was born on August 16, 1904 in Nihalpur village of Prayagraj district (Uttar Pradesh).
👉She was a famous poet and freedom fighter.
👉Subhadra Kumari Chauhan and her husband joined the non-cooperation movement in the year 1921.
👉She also led the Flag Satyagraha in Jabalpur.
👉Subhadra Kumari Chauhan was the first woman Satyagrahi to be arrested in Nagpur and was jailed twice for her participation in protests against British rule in 1923 and 1942.
👉Subhadra Kumari Chauhan had written many popular works in Hindi poetry. ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’, narrating the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai, is one of her most famous works.
👉Poems like Veeron Ka Kaisa Ho Basant, Rakhi Ki Chunauti and Vida written by her were also highly patriotic and inspiring.
👉Subhadra Kumari Chauhan's writings focused on the hardships faced by women.
👉Her work reflects her concern about gender and caste discrimination faced by women. This is an issue which is relevant even today.
👉Subhadra Kumari Chauhan died on February 15, 1948. Her contribution in the field of Hindi literature and her role in the Indian freedom struggle are still remembered.

Sushma Swaraj
👉Sushma Swaraj was born on 14 February, 1952 in Ambala, Haryana.
👉She graduated from Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt and received a Bachelor of Laws degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
👉Sushma Swaraj was also awarded an honorary doctorate by the Agricultural University, Kanpur.
👉In the year 1973, she started practicing as an advocate in the Supreme Court of India.
👉Sushma Swaraj entered public life at an early age and won the election to the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1977 at the age of 25 and became the Minister of Labor and Employment in the Haryana State Government.
👉During the period 1987 to 1990, she was again elected as a member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly and became the Minister of Education, Food and Civil Supplies.
👉Sushma Swaraj became a Rajya Sabha MP in the year 1990 and in the year 1996, she was elected as a member of the Lok Sabha and became the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
👉She was re-elected as MP in the 1998 Lok Sabha elections and held the post of Minister of Information and Broadcasting in the Government of India along with additional charge of the Ministry of Telecommunications.
👉Sushma Swaraj became the first woman Chief Minister of Delhi in October 1998.
👉Subsequently, in April, 2000, she was again elected to the Rajya Sabha and became the Minister of Information and Broadcasting from September, 2000 to January, 2003 and then the Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Parliamentary Affairs from January, 2003 to May, 2004. .
👉Sushma Swaraj was the leader of the opposition from December 2009 to May 2014.
👉In 2014, she was elected to the Lok Sabha. She served as the External Affairs Minister of India from May, 2014 to May, 2019.
👉She was an able administrator and affable woman with a human touch who left an indelible mark by helping distressed Indians abroad. For these qualities, she was declared "India's most loved politician" by the American daily 'Wall Street Journal' in 2017.
👉Sushma Swaraj died on August 06, 2019.
👉Sushma Swaraj was awarded India's second highest civilian honor 'Padma Vibhushan' (posthumously).
👉Sushma Swaraj will always be remembered for her extraordinary oratorical skills and compassionate approach.
