بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Significance of Muharram:

1. Shahadat of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Grandson of Rasullulah ﷺ:Muharram holds deep significance in Islam, for Muslims, due to the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, during the Battle of Karbala on the 10th of Muharram, known as Ashura.

2. Sacred Month: Muharram is one of the four sacred months in the Islamic calendar, during which warfare is prohibited.

3. Day of Ashura: The 10th day of Muharram, known as Ashura, also marks the day Allah saved the Jews from Firaun, and fasting on this day is encouraged.

Significance of Imam Hussein:

1. Martyrdom at Karbala: Imam Hussein son of Ali and Fatimah [the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them all)], & His Family (except some family members) were martyred on the 10th of Muharram in 680 AD at the Battle of Karbala. His stand against the Umayyad caliph Yazid is seen as a symbol of the struggle against injustice and tyranny.
2. Symbol of Sacrifice: Imam Hussein's refusal to pledge allegiance to Yazid and His Shahadah are viewed as acts of integrity and resistance against baatil. His martyrdom is a pivotal moment in Islamic history.
   The events of Karbala and Imam Hussein's martyrdom provide a time for self-examination, and a recommitment to the values of justice, truth, and courage.

Imam Hussein's sacrifice is a profound reminder of the importance of standing up for Haqq, even in the face of overwhelming odds, and it continues to inspire Muslims around the world.

Reflecting upon His Shahadah is not restricted to Shia, As a follower of Islam & Prophet Muhammad ﷺ you must have to Learn & Ponder what had happened. Motive of this post is to inculcate affection for Grandsons of prophet & Reflecting upon His Shahadah..

Rasullulah ﷺ said: “Hussein is part of me and I am part of him. May Allaah love those who love Husayn. Husayn is one of my grandsons.”(Grade: Hasan by Al-Albani)

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:
“Rasullulah ﷺ : 'Hasan and Husain will be the leaders of the youth of Paradise, and their father is better than them."(Hasan; Ibn Majah 118)

Shaykh Salih bin Fawzan al-Fawzan al-Fawzan (hafidhahullah) said:

**A fasting person would be fasting and have severe hunger, thirst and tiredness,

while having no reward with Allah,

due to the following reasons:

• His tongue utters speech which is haram (forbidden).

• His eyes gaze at that which is haram.

• His ears listen to that which is haram.

Then in reality this is not fasting, rather he merely left off food.**

Islam doesn’t restrict women from learning knowledge but the condition is it must not distract you from your Lord & it should be done under Islamic Guidelines. We as an ummah need to have knowledge of both the fields, the era of Internet one can easy excel in any field of Knowledge from Home. It is the need of hour for muslims to learn both islamic knowledge & Worldly knowledge. Gain excel in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Astronomy, Mastering Arabic language with firm Base of Islam & imaan.
If you study these subjects you will be amazed how Allah has created us, this universe, All these things in a magnificent manner & increases your imaan. Being a Muslim does not mean that you neglect your worldly responsibilities towards Deen.

Al-Ijliya Al-Astrulabi (10th century) - The making of astrolabes, a branch of applied science of great status.

Sutayta al-Mahmali (10th century) - she excelled in many fields of knowledge such as Arabic literature, hadith, and jurisprudence as well as mathematics. She was an expert in hisab(arithmetics) and fara’idh (successoral calculations), both being practical branches of mathematics which were well developed in her time.

Many ignorant people relied on the mercy of Allah, His pardon and generosity and neglected His commands, violated His prohibitions but forgot that He is severe in punishment.

“The most precious reward during life is to busy yourself with the most suitable and useful matters in their exact and suitable time.”

**The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The nations will soon call each other and set upon you (muslims), just as diners set upon food.’

It was said: “Will it be because of our small number that day?”

He ﷺ said: “No! You(muslims) will be numerous at that time, but you will be like the foam of the river. And Allah will remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and will throw wahn into your heart.”

Someone said: “O messenger of Allah, what is wahn?” He ﷺ said: Love of the world and the hatred for death.**
