Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has appointed Dr. Ali Bagheri as a new member of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations. The Strategic Council on Foreign Relations was formed in June 2006 by a decree from the Leader.

The purpose of forming this Council was for them to help in policymaking on major issues, to investigate new horizons in the Islamic Republic’s foreign relations, and to benefit from the educated elite in this field.

The Strategic Council on Foreign Relations is chaired by Dr. Kamal Kharrazi.
