قيل للإمام أحمد بن حنبل رحمه الله:

فقال أحمد:
كلا، مادامت القلوب ثابتةً فالحق هو المنتصر.

"The soul was originally created ignorant and unjust. So because of its ignorance, it thinks that its cure lies in following its desires, but in that lies its ruin and destruction ."
