Polish major bank PKO Bank Polski recently announced its partnership with Blockchain Coinfirm to provide a DLT-based storage and audit system for bank documents, TechCrunch reported March 29.

The recently signed agreement aims to bring the Blockchain technology to the PKO banking system through the Trudatum tool developed by Coinfirm. The system will provide customers with secure means to access documents that contain information about rules, transactions, fees and commissions.

Anna Streżyńska, president of the Polish company Fintech MC2 Solutions, noted that banks are more interested in using Blockchain for document management systems, since the existing tools for informing customers do not meet the security requirements. Methods such as e-mail or notifications on the website may be subject to change and deletion of data.

The Blockchain storage system can also save the cost of operating PKO, as it eliminates the need for costly paper documentation for more than 9 million customers.

According to the vice-president of PKO Bank Adam Marchinyak, the bank began testing Trudatum last year. After successful testing, the bank signed an agreement on continuing cooperation on the project.

The fintech company provides a blockchain and token ecosystem where it will give consultancy to entrepreneurs and startups who wish to implement blockchain technologies. But also to those who wish to start an ICO.

The platform will be built on the NEM blockchain.
According to the whitepaper, COMSA aims to find a solution for the gap between companies and the blockchain technology.

COMSA is an ambitious project that wishes to “connect” NEM, Ethereum, and Bitcoin on the same platform while its used by entrepreneurs to develop their businesses.

​​The central bank of Singapore determined when tokens can be considered as securities

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), which acts as the central bank of the country, determined when ICOs can be qualify as securities sales.
In the manual published by the regulator, it is indicated that this is possible in certain cases, specified in the Law on Securities and Futures (SFA) and the Law on Financial Consultants.

"The proposal or release of digital tokens can be regulated by the MAS in the case that digital tokens are capital market products in accordance with CFA standards," the document says.
The document contains several practical examples. For example, tokens tied to a platform for sharing computing power are not considered securities. In this case, tokens of the investment fund fall under the regulation of MAS.
The manual also says that all tokens, regardless of their nature, are subject to the law on combating money laundering and terrorism.
With regard to this area, MAS plans to develop a new legal framework for companies taking part in trading and exchange transactions with virtual currencies. In particular, they will have to track transactions, report suspicious transactions and maintain an archive.
